Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peek: Pastel & Patriotic
Hey Hey! It’s Day 2 of sneak peeks and the Baker’s Dozen and I have some more cool stuff to share! Today’s peeks include a little bit of everything so you’ll want to make sure you hop around to all the blogs listed at the bottom of my post. All of the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 8am PST in our Fresh Out of the Oven department! If you’re one of our Facebook fans, plan to join Regina tonight at 6pm PST for the Preview Party where you’ll get a look at all of the new stamps and a chance to win some great prizes!
My first project today uses Moka Melissa, a sweet nurse. I smile every time I see her because I’m reminded of Baker’s Dozen alumni Melissa Sauls who stepped down from the team to pursue her nursing degree. And so it seemed fitting to name this gal after her!
I started with the soft pastel papers and cardstock from our June Key Ingredients kit and started by paper piecing her pants and pockets. The rest of the image is colored with Copics. I cut the image out with Banner Stacklets 2. And the rest of the card is pretty simple! I added Baker’s Twine around the image panel, the ‘germ’ sentiment tab, and popped it up onto the card base. Then I embellished with the enamel dots in the corner and finished it off with the Get Well Soon sentiment cut out with the banner from Branches, Banner, and Bloom.
My next project today bright red, white, and blue! I used the new Pinking Circle Stacklets to imitate fireworks along with portions of the new Graphic Greetings Patriotic stamp and LOTS of bling!
Honestly, this card took so many twists and turns along the way it’s hard for me to explain how I ended up here… but I’m glad I did! *grin* I used papers from our new Patriotic Project Pantry kit (available on Thursday as well). The sentiments are embossed with white embossing powder and the ‘Celebrate Freedom’ sentiment is from the Stars & Stripes set.
Here’s a look at the coordinating ingredients we’ve put together for the Patriotic Project Pantry kit:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you see something that inspires you to get crafty! Here are the talented Baker’s Dozen gals participating today with even more inspiration:
