Before I get to my projects, as promised we have a fun party game planned for each day of our release complete with some fabulous prizes. Remember the game I Spy? Well, today we’re playing our version of I Spy. Here are the clues and the details on how you can play along for a chance to win:
Next up on our party agenda is inspiration and it is SPOOKTACULAR! Halloween is my favorite holiday for stamping so my mind has been spinning with all the fun new stamps and dies for Halloween. I really love making special little treat sacks and so the stamp set Bag It & Tag It was born! These little treat sacks will be for Madi’s daycare buddies:
I started with 3″ x 4″ muslin bags which will be available in the TE Store starting on Thursday morning. I’ve been making a lot of trips to the fabric store with my mom lately to pick out fabrics for crib bedding that she’s sewing for the baby’s room. I really stink at sewing, but I love looking at all the fabrics. It’s probably best that I can’t sew or I would have a second crafty addiction. I couldn’t resist some adorable Halloween prints and this is my version of sewing. I purchased some light canvas/linen fabric, stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black, and then used iron on material to attach the cute fabrics and the stamped images to the bags. I need to do some more testing to see if there’s an ink that will provide a darker/crisper image on fabric, but I’m still super happy with how these turned out! Here’s a look at all of the bags I made:
And these are the supplies that I used on my bags:
Another of my favorite things to do for Halloween is decorate! And I love to stamp my own decor. Last year I made this wall hanging with the Fa-Boo-Lous stamp set and I loved how it turned out. This year I decided to make my own ornaments for my sparkly black Halloween tree using A Spooky View stamp set, the new Gothic Window die, Gothic Accessories dies, and Label Stacklets 5 dies.
I started by cutting the windows from black cardstock and embossing them with several coats of Ultra Thick Clear Embossing Powder. I stamped the window scenes with Versamark and embossed them with black embossing powder. Then I cut the scene out with the coordinating Label Stacklets 5 die and used my Copic airbrush and Cloud Border Die for the cloudy backgrounds. I backed each window scene with the next largest Stacklet cut from patterned paper in our Halloween Project Pantry kit. I also added bats, cat, and pumpkin to the scenes using the Gothic Window Accessories die set.
