A Week of Share Joy Inspiration – Photo Challenge
Hey there & Happy Friday! We’ve made it to the end of another week! It has been a special week here at Taylored Expressions as we launched a new Share Joy Campaign to benefit three charities who serve homeless people across the United States. Our Share Joy Campaign is very near and dear to our hearts and we try hard to work with organizations that have touched us in a unique and meaningful way. My husband Jon and I have supported each of these charities and have seen the wonderful work that they do. Jon has written a special article about his personal experience in working with the homeless at Union Rescue Mission. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read about his article here.
If you’d like to join us in supporting these charities, it’s really simple! We’re collecting birthday card donations and you can find the guidelines for card donations and details for mailing here.
We’re topping off our week of Share Joy Inspiration with a Photo Challenge brought to us by the fabulous Wanda Guess!
If you’ve spent time at Wanda’s blog then you know that she’s an incredibly talented photographer. A photograph is a wonderful way to be inspired to create and we’re lucky to have this beautiful photograph from Wanda to inspire us today. From color combinations to literal interpretations to shapes to themes, a picture really is worth a thousand words (and cards!).
When I saw this photo I was instantly reminded of the flowers in the Happily Ever After stamp set. Here’s what I came up with:
I also incorporated the color pink into my project since Wanda’s photo is so pretty in pink. I wanted to do something clean and simple and I remembered this card that Jen made and decided to case it. The sentiment is from A Glimpse Inside. Oh… and I think I’m going for some sort of record as my last five projects use Doodlebug Sprinkles! *grin*
Here are the supplies I used from the TE Store:
The Baker’s Dozen gals are capping off the week with more fabulous inspiration so check ’em out below. And then try your hand at the photo inspiration challenge! When you’re done you can come back and upload your link below. I’d love to see what you create!
