Taylored Expressions January Sneak Peeks: HOGS & Kisses
Good morning & Happy Monday! Typically Mondays aren’t very exciting, but today is an exception! It’s the start of our January sneak peeks and for this Valentine themed release we have some really ‘LOVE’ly new goodies to share! The Baker’s Dozen and I will be showing and telling about our sneak peek projects through Wednesday and all of the new products will be available for purchase at the TE Store at 7am PST on Thursday, January 9th.
So let’s get started, shall we!? We released our Sack It To You die in October along with three companions (snowman, reindeer, and penguin). This customizable favor box has been a big hit and this month you’ll be seeing projects with four new Sack It companions (kitty, puppy, owl, and pig!). For my first project I used the Sack It To You favor box die with the Sack It – Pig companion:
I cut the sack from pink cardstock and assembled it. I cut the ears and nose from Cotton Candy felt and the bows from a polka dot patterned paper. The cool thing about the Sack It – Pig die set is that the eyelashes and bows are separate dies and can be left off of the pig to make it a ‘boy’ pig. As the perfect companion to all of our new Sack It characters, we have the Sack It Sentiments stamp set. This set includes several ‘punny’ sentiments and a scalloped tag image that can be used with each animal to create the perfect tag. I filled a clear treat bag with Hershey kisses and tied the tag at the top. Here’s a look at my pig with the kisses inside:
I’m seeing pigs, kitties, owls, and puppies for Madi’s Valentine treats! Is it possible I have too many ideas for Valentine treats this year? Can’t wait to show you more ideas on Wednesday! Here are the supplies I used on my pig project:
For my second project I got crafty with our new Blooming Hearts Cutting Plate and Big Bold Valentine stamp set:
I cut the design out of Split Pea felt. Then I put an adhesive sheet onto Choice Snow White cardstock and adhered the felt cutting plate design over the top. I sprinkled glitter in the open areas for lots of sparkle. Then I cut the same cutting plate design out of red, pink, and teal cardstocks and popped up random hearts within the design to add more color. I cut the tag out of Chalkstock using our new Tag Stacklets 2 die and stamped the sentiment from Big Bold Valentine with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I also added one of our new Tag Reinforcement to the top of the tag before tying it off with red twill and Valentine twine. I chalked up my tag using real chalk from Madi’s play easel. Shhh… don’t tell her that mommy borrowed it! *wink*
There are so many things I love about this card… chalkboard sentiment….cool cutting plate design….new tag shape! Hooray!
Here are all of the supplies I used on this card:
Thanks so much for stopping by for our first day of sneak peeks! Make sure you check out the rest of the Baker’s Dozen blogs for a peek at our sweet owl, playful puppy, and cuddly kitty dies not mention lots of other new goodies! See you back here tomorrow!
