Hey there! Are you ready for a treat-tastic day!? It’s the last day of sneak peeks before all of our new products are available for purchase. You’ll be able to check ’em all out tomorrow at 7am PST at the TE Store! If you’re a little impatient and you want to see the goodies NOW! NOW! NOW!, then mark your calendar to join us at the Preview Party on our Facebook page tonight at 6pm PST. Regina will be throwing a fabulous party filled with fun games, an early look at lots of our new products, and PRIZES!
Valentine’s Day is known for two things…. LOVE (of course!)…and… any guesses? That would be TREATS! OK, maybe it’s just me who looks forward to Valentine’s Day because of the treats! And it’s not just eating the treats that I look forward to. Each year I like to come up with cute and clever ways to create my own valentines and valentines for Madi to give out to her friends. This year we have lots of fun products to help you make cute treats for your co-workers, neighbors, friends, and classmates this year!
For my first treat I used the My Punny Valentine stamp set. This set includes several sentiments and images designed specifically for Valentine treats. After Madi’s Valentine’s Day party last year I made note of all the crafty valentines she received and I was inspired to create this stamp set. For my treat I used one of those ‘squeeze’ applesauce packets. If you’re a mom of a child under 5 then you certainly know about these squeezable wonders. What child doesn’t love applesauce? And mom’s love it too because it’s healthier than chocolate and mess-free in the squeezable pouch!
Here’s what I came up with using the ‘You’re my main squeeze’ sentiment:
I created a pouch for the pouch to sit in and tied ribbon/twine around the top of the applesauce. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I cut it out using our new Heart Stacklets. After adding a few Doodlebug Sprinkles and Tiny Twinkles I called it good! Here’s a look at the pouch inside the pouch… *grin*
And here are the supplies I used on this project:
For my second treat-tastic project I used the Super Suckers stamp set with coordinating dies, a concept brought to us by Sankari!
The petite stamp set includes icons like a spider, bat, and star to put on the back of the superhero cape. And it includes the cape and mask dies I used to create these SUPER suckers! I used Blow Pops, but Tootsie Pops or other round suckers would also work. I cut the cape from Echo Park Head Over Heels patterned paper. After inserting the stick through the die-cut hole in the cape I tied a ribbon around the stick to hold the cape in place. Then I glued the mask around the sucker.
I stamped the sentiment and wrote ‘From: Madi’ on the inside of the cape as you can see here:
Madi is always dressing up in her superhero cape and mask and shouting “Super Madi!” so these would make the perfect treats for her this year. See what I mean about having too many treat ideas?
If you’re looking for more eye candy (literally candy!) and treat ideas, make sure you stop by the rest of the Baker’s Dozen blogs to see what they’ve been up to! Hopefully they didn’t eat all their treats before they took their photographs!
