Guest Blogger: Teri Anderson
At TE, we are always on the lookout for ways we can share creative inspiration with you. From time to time, we will be featuring some very special Guest Bloggers whose work we admire and who inspire creativity every day.
We are thrilled to introduce the one and only Teri Anderson as our first Guest Blogger of the year!

Many of you know Teri from her work as a Go-to Gal and contributing editor for Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine. She was also recently named the hostess of Moxie Fab World. Teri began scrapbooking as a teenager and caught the card making bug from a book on card making with scrapbooking supplies. Besides paper crafting, Teri loves to spend time with family and friends, going to the beach, and taking pictures. A fan of live music, Teri has been to more than 50 concerts of which seeing the Rolling Stones with her dad was a special highlight.
Teri was gracious enough to create several cards for us today and can’t wait to show them off! We love Teri’s fun style and her fearless crafting techniques.
Teri’s Notes: I was feeling adventurous with coloring here. I totally felt like living on the edge. So here’s what I did: I totally colored the birds with my fingers. Yep. That’s right. My fingers. I just pressed my fingers into my ink pads and then lightly pressed color all over the birds. If you look close, you can see my fingerprints! You’ll see my fingers are chubby (ha!) so the color went outside the lines, but I think it just kinda adds to the look. To make things really stand out, I used my colored pencils to add a little additional color to the birds.
Supplies: Stand Out stamp set (Taylored Expressions); Tag Stacklets 2 dies (Taylored Expressions); Other: inks, patterend paper, pom pom, jute, colored pencils, cardstock
Teri’s Notes: I really wanted to play with the tag dies here so I die-cut a bunch of small tags using the Tag Stacklets 2 set and randomly arranged them together. For the sentiment tag, I simply stamped the words, adding a little color with a white pencil and then slipped in a few embellishments.
Supplies: Big Bold Thanks stamp set (Taylored Expressions); Tag Stacklets 2 dies (Taylored Expressions); Other: inks, patterned paper, twine, epoxy dots and star, color pencils, cardstock, twine, sewing machine
Teri’s Notes: I used my trusty fingers again (hee!) to color in things here! I just pressed my fingers lightly onto my ink pads and then lightly pressed them all over the stamped design. I think the butterflies, especially, look pretty cool because my fingerprints give them somewhat of a shadow effect. To make the color a little more intense I once again whipped out my colored pencils and added a little additional color.
I also used my pencils to add a little shading to the sentiment.
