Blog Design Team: Filled with Thanks
Hey there, crafty friends! Today is the first official day of Autumn and we have got some projects from Blog Team designer, Kay Miller, to greet the season. To kick things off right, we’re giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store! Keep reading for details…
Kay’s Notes: One of my very favorite things to do when I get a new stamp set and
dies, is to color and cut out tons of stuff and then just play around
with all the little bits and pieces until I get something I love. The
Falling For You stamp set by is so cute and has so
many fun things to color and cut out. I had a ball!
Kay’s Notes: I first stamped
several of each of the images, colored them with my Copic Markers, then die-cut some with the matching dies. Next, I added foam tape to the back of
everything and just played with them until I got an arrangement that I
liked.
Kay’s Notes: After playing around with all my bits and pieces, I decided that I loved the little bird sitting in the wreath. I adhered
everything to a white panel, which I then mounted with foam tape to my
card base. I then stamped a sentiment with the same set and cut it out
with one of the Label It dies, and adhered it slightly under the flowers
with foam tape.
Kay’s Notes: I had so many cute things left over
from my first card, that I couldn’t resist making another. For this one,
I first covered my base with this cute yellow chevron patterned paper that’s new at Taylored Expressions.
Kay’s Notes: Next I cut out a circle and adhered it with
foam tape. The wheelbarrow and leaves all have matching dies which makes
them easy peasy to cut out, and I cut out the little flower by hand.
Kay’s Notes: I
adhered everything with foam tape to the white circle. I stamped the
sentiment on the little flag banner from the Build A House dies, and
adhered it with some foam tape too. Happy Fall!
