So you’ve seen the products on the sneak peek list for today and now I have my own projects to share. I told you that I’m really excited about our new Build a Tag products so I’m going to start there. Our first Build a Tag die set give you the parts and pieces that you need to create tons of tags. As we continue to add Build a Tag dies to the series, you’ll have even more options for mixing and matching!
I started by creating a tag with the Build a Tag dies and the Tag-A-Long Autumn stamp set. I thought this would be perfect to tie onto a fall dishtowel that I plan to give as a hostess gift later this month.
First I cut out the tag and stamped the background with the crosshatched circles from the Tag-A-Long set. I stamped the same circles onto the die cut banner. All of the sentiments in the Tag-A-Long stamp set will fit inside the folding banner die. I colored the pumpkin with Copics and then trimmed it out with the coordinating Tag-A-Long Autumn die set. A couple other little details to note… see the cute little border below the pumpkin? That’s from the new Skinny Mini Border set. And notice the stitching on the orange piece behind the pumpkin? That’s part of the die and I love the extra special touch it gives!
And to show you the versatility of the Build a Tag dies, I also created this birthday tag. This would be great to tie on any birthday gift bag or even to put on a card front for a quick birthday card!
After cutting out the tag I stamped the chevron clouds from the You Make Me Happy stamp set (retired) and the white clouds from the Enjoy the Journey dies. I stamped a sentiment from Party Monsters onto the stitched tag and cut out three balloons using the larger balloon from Little Bits Balloons. I tied burlap string to each balloon to create the arrangement and then popped them up with foam squares.
And last for today, I have another gift tin and matching card to share, but this time with a coffee theme. I give lots of Starbucks gift cards during the holidays so I know this will definitely get used a lot!
I started by stamping three of the coffee cups onto Buttercream Frosting card stock. I paper pieced and colored the images with Copics and then added the patterned paper underneath as a ‘shelf’ for the cups.
My sentiment was a little large and I didn’t want to cover up any of my coffee cups so I actually stamped it onto vellum and placed it over the card base. I wanted to highlight the ‘makes us awesome’ part so I stamped that onto pink patterned paper and placed it over the vellum sentiment.
For the tin topper I used images from A Hug in a Mug and the sentiment is from Small Packages. Again I paper pieced the image and colored it with Copic markers. Now all I need to do is add my Starbucks gift card and voila… instant gift!
As always, the Baker’s Dozen design team is up to their usual awe-inspiring ways and they have even more projects to share with you today! Make sure you stop by their blogs and leave ’em some love! We’ll be back again tomorrow for our last day of sneak peeks before the big release!
