Blog Design Team: Have Yourself a Merry Little Weekend
Happy Friday, crafty friends! We are enjoying Thanksgiving leftovers and happy memories of another chance to get together with friends and family. Now that Turkey Day is over, we are really heading into the Christmas season! Today, Blog Team Designer Wanda Guess is sharing an absolutely adorable card to take us into the weekend.
Wanda’s Notes: When the stamp set Woodland Winter first came out I knew I was
going to use it over and over again. The creatures are so adorable! And,
now there are matching dies! So, this crazy and bright card was
inspired by the stamp set, and also the new Snowfall Embossing Folder.
Wanda’s Notes: I die cut my snow globe die first, and then ran it back
through my Big Shot with the embossing folder. (Wanda’s Tip: always cut
first, emboss second – that way your raised embossing doesn’t get
flattened.)
Wanda’S Notes: I picked out some matching Copics to color my deer and owl –
too fun in their purple hats! For the snow globe, I gently inked around
the edge using a sponge dauber and distress ink. Then I
went back and added tiny bits of glitter.
Wanda’s Notes: I was inspired by the yummy patterned paper to create in non-traditional colors. Don’t be afraid to put colors together that you wouldn’t immediately think to pair and you might just be pleasantly surprised by the results!
Wanda’s Notes:
This card was so fun to make!
So happy to share it with you, and hope you are inspired to use some
sparkle in your Winter crafting.
Thanks so much, Wanda, for cozying up our week! Be sure to check out Wanda’s blog, A Blog Called Wanda to see more of her beautiful work. Have a joyful weekend!
