Taylor’s Expressions – Keeping it Simple
Hey there, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here and I have a project to share with you! I decided to show you a really simple option for a beautiful birthday card using one of our newest dies. Let’s face it, we all need a quick birthday card more often than we care to admit. Or is it just me who isn’t as organized as I’d like to be!?
I started with a piece of watercolor paper from the Watercolored Memories 6×6 paper pack and trimmed about an inch out of the middle of the pattern to accommodate my sentiment. Then I popped up the watercolor patterned paper over Sugar Cube cardstock using foam tape and added the sentiment (a pretty gold rub-on) in the open space.
Above the sentiment I used one of the dies from our Beauty Lies Within 2 collection. I die cut it twice, once from purple cardstock and once from pink cardstock. I trimmed the pink flowers out and adhered them over the top of the purple die cut portion. Then I punched out a 1.75″ circle from Sugar Cube cardstock, placed the die cut scene over the top, and adhered it to the card front.
To finish it off I added a bit of natural burlap twine for some texture and adhered the entire white panel to a Toffee (Kraft) card front.
