Blog Design Team: Best Wishes
Happy Saturday, crafty friends, and we hope you are enjoying something beautiful wherever you are! Today, Blog Team Member Amy Sheffer has created a stunning, layered wedding card for a happy couple. Check it out…
And now, here’s Amy to tell us all about her project…
Wedding season is coming! I have been
especially smitten with the darling Little Bits – Champagne Flutes
dies — so cute! They make me want to toast all sorts of occasions, but a wedding seems like the perfect event to celebrate!
For today’s card, I started with a pair of champagne flutes that I
die-cut out of silver metallic card stock.
Next, I stamped, colored and
die-cut a lovely sentiment banner using the Fancy Banner 1 Stamp &
Die Combo and some green, purple, and yellow Copic markers. I positioned
the champagne flutes on the left side of the banner and placed a
Jelly Donut card stock circle in the background to spotlight the
champagne flutes. I loved the vibrancy of the Jelly Donut card stock,
and decided to add some more rich color with a vertical strip of the
leafy green pattern from the Build A Scene 6×6 Paper Pack. The Sugar
Cube background layer sets off those intense colors beautifully.
To
complement the wedding theme, I dry embossed the background panel using
the Sheet Music Embossing Folder. The Taylored Expressions embossing
folders produce such a deep, sharp result!
A few small accents complete
the card: two leafy sprigs die-cut using one of the Branches, Banner,
and Bloom dies, one out of Sugar Cube card stock and the other out of
vellum; silver thread; silver sequins; and a smidgen of silver ribbon.Cheers!
Thank you for sharing such a lovely card with us today, Amy! You can find more of Amy’s beautiful work on her blog, Pickled Paper Designs. Have a joyful day!
