Blog Design Team: Happiness in a Teacup
Hey there, crafty friends! Today Blog Design Team member, Sharon Harnist has created a beautifully colored card featuring one of our favorite bouquet stamps! Check it out below…
Now let’s hear from Sharon about her card…
Flowers are some of my very favorite things to color; I find it very
soothing and relaxing, and it’s fun to make them any color combination you’d
like! Imagine my delight when I discovered Taylored Expresssions’ beautiful Bouquet stamp series! For this pretty Teacup Bouquet, I choose these V and
BV-series Copic combos:
I decided to make the teacup and saucer a complimentary color combo of
blue-green/cyan and yellow and tied the cup’s blue-green color in with the
saucer by making the dotted trim on the saucer. Shadows were placed under the
saucer with Copic C0 and C1.After coloring the image, I die cut it with the largest Tag Stacklets
2 and silver heat embossed the pretty “Thinking of you
Always” sentiment from the stamp set. To tie the tag in with the colors of the
floral image, I die cut a Tag Reinforcement from white
cardstock and colored it with Copic V15. To finish the tag, I
tied it with silver metallic twine. The card base is Sugar Cube cardstock, with a 2-inch strip
of Cookie Monster cardstock embossed with the Leafy
Vine Embossing Folder. It is topped with a Rainbow Scallop
Border die cut from Potato Chip cardstock.White Summer Nights Matched Sequins scattered on the
background finish this card.
