For both of my projects today I wanted to use the bright and beautiful Hello Happiness paper pack. The patterns and colors in this paper pack make it versatile for many different occasions which is one of the reasons why I love it so much. I could have used it (and probably did use it!) on almost all of my projects this month! Here’s a better look at the patterns in this paper pack:
The cardstock colors that coordinate with this paper pack include Lollipop, Cookie Monster, Sugar Cube, Salt Water Taffy, and two new colors Mint Julep & Pink Champagne. So sweet and happy!
First I want to show you what I created with the new One & Only You stamp & die combo. This is our free with purchase set during our birthday celebration!
I started by cutting into a square of patterned paper using Label Stacklets 7. Then I cut a frame from Cookie Monster cardstock to give the cutout more definition. I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and die cut the word ‘you’ four times and adhered them together to get a little bit more dimension. Then I popped the patterned paper with cutout frame over the top of the stamped sentiment.
Then I created a floral arrangement from felt using our new Mini Bloomers, Bloomers Greenery (more on those later this week) and the previously released Bloomers 1 die sets. I added a little bit of shading to the green leaves and some enamel dots to a couple of the flower centers. I love how these little details draw the eye and make a card extra special!
For my next project I pulled out the adorable Party Pals stamp and die combo to pair with the Hello Happiness paper pack:
I was imagining these cute little guys in a party polaroid so I grabbed the Pockets & Pages 3×4 Photo Frame die to frame the scene. I colored and paper pieced each character and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then I set off to design the background of the polaroid with the Skinny Mini Party Borders.
I’m planning to make one of those multi-colored tissue paper tassel banners for our girl’s birthday so I wanted to experiment with making a multicolored tassel banner using this border die. I think it turned out pretty cute! After completing the scene I used a simple layout and some polka dot organdy ribbon to finish off the card.
Thanks so much for joining us for our first day of sneak peeks! Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win one of seven gift certificates we’re giving away during our birthday celebration! We’ll be back again tomorrow with more inspiration and in the meantime you’ll want to visit the blogs of our talented creative team. Here’s a little sneak peek of several of the inspiring projects you’ll find along the hop:
