Both of our little girls have a birthday this fall and they’re both in the “princess stage” so I’ve been busy creating princess cards for each of them using our new Little Bits and the Hello Happiness paper. Here’s one of the princess scenes I came up with:
I started by choosing a pattern from the paper pack to build the scene onto. I thought the banners would be perfect for a birthday. Then I die cut all of my pieces and started to assemble.
I decided to bring back ‘an oldie but a goodie’ with a sentiment from Big Bold Birthday. Hopefully all of my hard work won’t be lost on our toddlers! *wink* Either way it brings me joy!
For my next project I went a completely different direction style-wise and pulled out the newest addition to the Simply Stamped series… Sunflowers:
I just love the dimension I can get with these flowers by layering the images with coordinating ink. For my sunflower I used Memento Dandelion, Distress Mustard Seed, and Memento Peanut Brittle inks. For the stem I used Memento Pistachio and Memento Olive Grove. After stamping the images, I die cut them with the coordinating dies.
Then I used the Block Party – Happy die to cut into the bottom of a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock. I positioned the Bead Board embossing folder to emboss only above the ‘happy’ die cut. Then I pieced together the sunflower and stem on foam tape, added some patterned paper to accent the project, and used a sentiment from the new C’mon Get Happy stamp set to finish it off.
And that wraps up our second day of sneak peeks! Thanks so much for joining us again today! Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win one of seven gift certificates we’re giving away during our birthday celebration! We’ll be back again tomorrow with more inspiration and in the meantime you’ll want to visit the blogs of our talented creative team.
