Hey there, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here today and I’m excited to kick off another week of sneak peeks as we get ready for our February Release! Mark your calendar now as all of the new products will be available for purchase in the TE webstore on Thursday, February 4th at 7am PST! With the prediction of 6-12″ of snow starting tomorrow, spring feels like a distant promise. And yet it comes every year, bright and beautiful and smelling like fresh dirt! Despite the cold weather, my stamp room has been filled with the colors of spring over the last few weeks as I created my projects for this week’s sneak peeks and now I’m super excited to share them with you!
Our creative team will be joining me this week to share their own projects using our latest products, and we’d love to have you join in the fun too! How? Stop by each day of sneak peeks and leave a comment with your answer to my Question of the Day for a chance to win one of our new products! I love to hear from all of you, so don’t be shy!
Today I’m giving away If Bunnies Could Talk
Stamp & Die Combo to one lucky winner!
This set is guaranteed to make you giggle!
The fine print: Leave your comment before Wednesday, February 3rd at 11:59pm PST. One entry per person. Each comment will also be entered into our Grand Prize drawing for a $50 Gift Certificate to the TE Store! Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, February 4th, 2016.
And now on to the projects that I made for today! First, I wanted to use the If Bunnies Could Talk Stamp & Die Combo. I swear the little bunny was actually talking to me from the package… “Use me… I need ink… please!” I had this idea in my head ever since we decided to move forward with the ‘big butt’ sentiment. You know the question every significant other dreads to answer is now being asked by bunnies around the world. *grin*
I wanted to give her a super oversized tail so I hand cut two fluffy layers of cardstock for her backside. And as always, the expressions for the critter could not be more hilarious. For my grassy layer I used our new Fringe Border release this month as well.
The stamp set comes with both the front and back of the bunny included, but the great part is that both the front and back are exactly the same shape and can be cut out using the same coordinating die included with the stamp set. I also had fun experimenting with the Let’s Talk Edger 1 released last month to make a home for the sentiment. Don’t let the long “border style” of this die fool you! You can cut it down to whatever size you need to fit your space!
Here’s a closer look at the two new products that I used on this project:
I combined these new products with several other TE products and you can find my whole supply list below:
For my next project, I went with the Wishes on a Wire – St. Paddy’s Day stamp. St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday I often overlook, but a stamp as cute as this one just couldn’t be overlooked!
I colored it with Copics and masked the image with masking paper before airbrushing the background with a light turquoise Copic (BG11). I die cut the image with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and then paper pieced the white clouds with foam tape for added dimension.
I cut the bottom of the card front base with the Stitched Scallop Edger and adhered the green chevron patterned paper to the inside of the card. I also added a couple of our Little Bits – Shamrocks and a mini tag stamped with a sentiment from the Many Minis Occasions stamp set.
Here’s a look at the stamp that I used on this card. If you like this one, you’ll want to check out our whole collection of Wishes on a Wire stamps for lots of different holidays and occasions!
And here are all of the other supplies that I paired with the stamp to create this project:
As I mentioned, our fabulous creative team is joining me this week to share their own amazing projects! Below are some of the products they’ll be showing off today so make sure you hop around to see all the goodies!
