Blog Design Team: A Wee Greeting
Good day, crafty friends! It’s Friday and we are so thrilled because that means it’s just two days until we kick off our March Release on Monday…yay! To send us off into the weekend, we’ve got a fun card from Blog Design Team member Amy Kolling. L-O-V-E!
Here’s Amy to tell us about her project…
Hello! One of my favorite TE stamp sets is the ADORABLE set called Under the Flower Stamp a& Die combo. These images are super easy to color!
I thought it would be fun to create a scene using some pattern paper from Build a Scene and pair it with the new dies Picture Perfect Smile/Hello as a border. I started with coloring my gnome and flower images with Copics and adding some Wink of Stella for some sparkle. These were added using foam adhesive.
I used the Little Bits Sun and Clouds dies and the Grass Border to complete my scene. Tip: One detail that I think made a huge difference was to add a layer of vellum over the INSIDE portion of my frame or scene. By adding vellum, it tones down the busy cloud background and adds a softness to it.
The last detail was the “HELLO” die-cut sentiment attached to the frame. I carried over the flower color to the sentiment by adding some shading using my Copics.
Thank you, Amy, for sharing this darling card with us today! To get more inspiration from Amy, visit her blog, Stamp-n-Paradise.
If you are in need of more eye candy this weekend, come back tomorrow as we share projects created with the very cool Emboss Resist technique!
