Creative Team Spotlight: Meet Jean, Gayatri, and Jen & a Giveaway!
It’s Monday crafty friends, and it’s a particularly good one! We know you have your doubts, but we’re pretty sure it will be a nice Monday because our amazing Creative Team is hard at work making magic for our April Release and we will be sharing sneak peeks in the TE Newsletter and on our Facebook Page later this week!

We thought we’d share a few of our favorite projects that really show off the wide range of styles of our Creative Team. Enjoy!
Jean Manis, Right As Rain
Making her home just east of Seattle, Washington, Jean has also lived in Texas, Colorado, and Massachusetts. A wonderful photographer, Jean began crafting as a scrapbooker, combining her interests in color, pattern, photography, and storytelling. When the youngest of her two sons went off to college, Jean switched to cardmaking and we are big fans of her clean, fresh, style! When not card-making, Jean can be found walking, hiking, traveling, cooking, reading, taking photos, and spending time with her husband of nearly thirty years, Will. A cross-stitcher, Jean loves the efficiency of the craft form and is drawn to the scenes that can be created with X’s and colored thread! Jean is an avid die-cutter and loves to create scenes with our Build-a-Scene and Little Bits lines of dies. Her favorite place to visit is London, a city she finds fascinating and which she has had a chance to explore twice — if she could jump on a plane tomorrow, it would be bound for Heathrow! Just be sure to come back because we would miss you!
Gayatri Murali, Handmade by G3
A crafty child, Gayatri has always loved to create handmade things like stuffed toys, jewelry, or embroidery. She began her papercrafting journey a decade ago and worked as a demonstrator, which got her hooked on cardmaking. When not cardmaking, she can be found in her ornamental garden and often combines her design skills with her green thumb. Or, she might be in the gym, lifting weights and working on her fitness goals, and spending time with friends. A resident of Perth, Australia, Gayatri makes her home with her husband, two teenage children, and their dog, Charlie. Our resident queen of background stamping loves white cardstock for its blank canvas and creating magic with distress inks, and particularly loves TE’s Grumpling line of stamps. Gayatri recently studied Interior Design and would love to pursue it as a career. She dreams someday of retiring to New Zealand, where she can be among snowy mountains, pristine aqua blue lakes, volcanoes and glaciers, lots of sheep, the Maori culture, fabulous fresh produce and the gorgeous starry night sky.
Jen Shults, Deconstructing Jen
A native of the Kansas City, Missouri-area her whole life, Jen now makes her home in the city of Lee Summit with her husband of sixteen years, Chris, a talented graphic designer for an ad agency. They share an artistic and viola-playing daughter, Evey (11), and son, Ben (9), who is an enthusiastic swimmer and video gamer. We could not do without Jen, who coordinates our Share Joy Challenge Creative Team. A trained artist and art educator, Jen has loved stamping and cardmaking ever since a friend introduced her to it in 2009. She is also a huge fan of crocheting, drawing, and hand lettering and her realistic portraiture is amazing! When not spending time with her family or teaching, she can be found sneaking off to read a good book (like her favorite, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.) A self-professed paper hoarder, Jen loves to work with TE’s Premium Cardstock and, like Gayatri, puts white Sugar Cube cardstock at the top of her list — just waiting to be colored with distress ink!
