Today, we’ve got a really wonderful project to share with you from Blog Design Team member Amy Kolling — and it will make you SMILE! Check it out…
Now here’s Amy to tell us about how she created her card…
Hello! With the spring season upon us now, I wanted to create this card I’ve had in my head for a few months. Totally a spring sunshine card! What better to use than all the fabulous dies Taylored Expressions has to create an adorable scene! I began with a trimmed piece of watercolor cardstock to which I blended Salty Ocean and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. I used a spritz bottle to spritz my paper and then used a paper towel to dab the water off, leaving some distress to the “sky” I blended.
The next part was the really fun part, which was placing all the die-cuts to create my scene using Taylored Expressions cardstocks. My bicycle was die cut in white and Copic-colored for a fun touch. I even decorated my kite’s bows!!
I arranged my die-cuts to complete my scene and various elements were attached with foam adhesive for dimension.
To finish this card, I used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig for perfect sentiment placement on my panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Thanks so much, Amy, for sharing this fabulously built scene card with us today! For more of Amy’s wonderful work, visit her blog, Stamp-n-Paradise! Have a joyful day!
