A note from Lori…
Of course I couldn’t wait to match up these gorgeous colors stamped with the ink splotches from Stroke of Genius 1 and 2 with my Copic Markers and a cute sentiment from one of my longtime favorite TE sets, A Life She Loved. Perfect combination for crafty girls like you and me! For several of the Taylored Expressions colors there are multiple suitable and beautiful Copic color matches. You have fun options! Here, I used Copic Markers RV17, YR04, Y15, BG45 and V17 to fill in the letters, but Taylor also has a free downloadable chart with other options that you’ll find at the end of today’s post. The vibrant, even color of these inks are just gorgeous on Taylor’s white cardstock.
This was a fun card to create. I did a ‘rock ‘n roll’ technique on the flower from Posh Posies – the Mini Inks are a perfect size for this stamp technique. The Mini Ink Pads also make it easy to color the stem a green on it’s own. I cut the vase from Various Vases out of Strawberry Milkshake cardstock.
Tip: For visual interest and a bit of contrast, stamp your cardstock with a texture image from the Stroke of Genius 1 before cutting. Love the marbled look that the Lollipop ink gave my vase.
Thank you so much, Lori, for these lovely projects and for the terrific tip!

A note from Kendra…
This matchy-matchy girl is totally thrilled to have these new amazing TE Premium Inks in all of my favorite TE colors! The coverage of the inks is amazing and true to the TE Premium Cardstock colors! I stamped these images from Bloomin’ Boots in Cookie Monster and Lollipop and added texture with the Raindrops Embossing Folder for a fun, bright card.
Thank you for this darling card, Kendra! Yes, somtimes you just need some really cute boots!
A note from Shelly…
If you’re like me, getting good ink coverage is important. I am pleased to say that I was able to get excellent ink coverage with Taylored Expressions Premium Inks! I can’t tell you how excited this makes me: even the light colors have gorgeous coverage. I love how bright and vibrant these colors are. I used Light as a Feather for my card and I was able to get crisp impressions on the first try. I was immediately impressed with the coverage of these dye inks and can’t wait for you to try them too!
Thank you so much, Shelly, for creating this pretty, hopeful card.
A note from Pam…
For my first card today, I stamped the solid layer of the daisies with the new ink colors, Candy Corn, Lollipop and Jelly Donut on TE Premium Sugar Cube cardstock. The inks are so vibrant and beautiful! Then I stamped the outline layer in the TE Oreo Hybrid Ink. To make it even better, they match TE cardstock colors and also matching Copics! So I carefully added in some of the matching Copic colors for a little extra detail and shadows. I inked the stems and leaves with Granny Smith and Peapod and stamped them on TE Cube cardstock also. The sentiments from the set are inked with the Chocolate Truffle and stamped directly on the woodgrain background pattern paper.
My second card uses the same Oops a Daisy stamp set and I used one of the solid stamps alone without using the coordinating outline stamp. You can really see the superior coverage of the new ink colors. I used Cherry Pop…love it!…, Granny Smith and Peapod, all stamped on Sugar Cube cardstock. With the Salt Water Taffy and Cookie Monster inks I created an ink-blended background around the daisy.
Thank you, Pam, for your two beautiful cards!
A note from Kim…
The most important thing to me in a color collection is that the inks and the cardstock match well. I know that seems obvious, but after years of cardmaking, I can say that it isn’t always so. The first thing that I wanted to do with the brand new Taylored Expressions ink was to create cards that left no room for doubt – and I am thrilled to say: they match perfectly! The added bonus with these inks is how easy it is to get complete and very smooth coverage. They are truly a joy to work with.
Thank you so much, Kim, for showing how well our inks match our cardstock with your two delightful cards!
A note from Keia…
I used the Spectacular stamp set to showcase the versatility of the new Taylored Expressions Inks. I decided to use the new inkpads to try some of my favorite stamping techniques and was thrilled with the results! The card, Stay Focused A Bright Future Is In Sight, allowed me to use the Taylored Expression Build A Scene-Rolling Clouds die as a stencil. I created a stenciled cloud background using the Salt Water Taffy inkpad. The ink worked like a dream, laying down a smooth layer of colored ink when using the Tim Holtz Ink Blending Tool, and the ink provided excellent coverage when dried. Usually, I have difficulty achieving full coverage when stamping a solid stamp image. However, the sun image from the Sunny Days stamp set was inked using the Lemon Meringue ink, and I got a clear image without any splotchiness.
My second card, Happy Birthday To You My Friend (using the same stamp set, Spectacular), showcased how well the inks match the Taylored Expressions cardstock and the clean impressions achieved for stamped sentiments. With such a great match between paper and inks it will be fun to try a few tone-on-tone stamping projects in the near future.
Oh, we just adore these cards, Keia! Thanks so much for trying out your fave techniques!
