Creative Team Spotlight: Meet Kim, Kerri, and Melody & a Giveaway!
It’s Monday crafty friends, and we are so thrilled! The reason is we’re introducing more of our incredible Creative Team to you!
We love our designers so much we would love for you to get to know them all a little better. Each month, we’ll introduce some of these lovely ladies and celebrate with a fun giveaway! Keep reading for details on how you can win a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store!
We thought we’d share a few of our favorite projects that really show off the wide range of styles of our Creative Team. Enjoy!
Kim Singdahlsen, Joyful Creations With Kim
“Carried Away” by Kim Singdahlsen
Married to her semi-retired husband for 26 years, Kim makes her home in Parker, CO. With her oldest son (20) taking a gap year before college and her youngest boy (16) at home, she loves escaping the boys with cardmaking! A papercrafter for 15 years, Kim first discovered the joys of cardmaking when a church friend introduced her to the world of handmade cards. Prior to this, Kim was an avid counted cross-stitcher, knitter, and hardanger embroiderer! When not crafting, Kim takes full advantage of the outdoors in Colorado — biking, hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. She recently earned a second degree in accounting and is returning to work. She’s also a fan of mysteries, thrillers, and family sagas — a favorite are the writings of Wallace Stegner, particularly The Angle of Repose. We have loved Kim’s restrained elegance and her love of dies always shines through on her wonderful projects!
Kerri Michaud, Cards by Kerri
“Ruff Day?” by Kerri Michaud
Kerri Michaud is keeping herself very busy with her three wonderful kids and husband of sixteen years in their home in Montverde, FL, just outside Orlando. Landon is 13 and is a special needs little boy. Avery is 11 and is a competitive gymnast. She works so hard going to school all day and then straight to gym to practice for 4 hours Mon-Fri! Carson is 8 and is Kerri’s jokester. He’s all boy and plays soccer and loves his video games. Kerri, who began as a scrapbooker, has been crafting since 2008. A self-professed night owl, she also works nights as a mother/baby nurse at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Mothers and Babies! Her love for coloring is always readily apparent on her fabulously-colored projects and she enjoys working with TE dies. One of her family’s favorite places to vacation is in the Smokey Mountains, where they hike the beautiful land of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Melody Rupple, A Paper Melody
“Build a Sweet Nursery” by Melody Rupple
Hailing from San Diego, CA, Melody makes her home there with her husband and their four daughters. Her lovely projects have long been a part of Taylored Expressions and we have always been huge fans of her work. Besides cardmaking, she still enjoys scrapbooking (which is where her papercrafting journey started) and she is so grateful for all the friends she has made through crafting. She enjoys trying out new techniques such as watercolor and mixed media. When not crafting, she works in the accounting field, reads, and goes to the gym. She also hits the beach as much as she can! When she can get away, she loves to vacation anywhere near the water and loves the Napa wine country and has taken two amazing trips to Europe.
