Blog Design Team: Not Just for Dad’s Day

And now, here’s Lisa to tell us all about her project…
In June we get to celebrate the guys in our lives on Father’s Day, which is great. Wouldn’t it be great to send Dad a card to a good dad — just because — and not just for Father’s Day? I decided to do just that with today’s card!
I do love that the Best in The World stamp set is one that can be used for so many occasions. I started this card with a Toffee Stitched Rectangle Stacklet. I used Granny Smith and Salt Water Taffy card stock to cut out the awesome Whole Wide World die. The pop of yellow is that sweet little heart from the Whole Wide World die set cut from Lemon Meringue card stock.
The sentiment was stamped with the amazing new Taylored Expressions Premium Ink. Beautiful coverage and gorgeous colors to match the card stock. Look how great it looks on the Toffee card stock! I used the Granny Smith Ink to stamp the greeting and filled in the word “dad” with Oreo Ink. Love it!
I mounted this finished panel onto a piece of vellum that I ran through my Vagabond with the Lots of Stars Embossing Folder. I roughed up the edges a bit to give it some texture. I added this to a top-folding A2 Sugar Cube card base. Some Pebbles enamel dots finished the card, accenting the greeting.
