Make it a Banner Birthday!
Hey there, crafty friends! It’s the middle of the week and maybe you’ve got the mid-week blues. If you do, we have a fun suggestion. Celebrate today as if it’s your birthday! Or, better yet, get crafty and make a birthday card for someone’s upcoming special day. (Guaranteed — you’ll feel better!) To get you inspired, we’re sharing a super cute card from Creative Team member Jean Manis. Jean created this for one of our recent Share Joy Challenges — if you haven’t played along, come join us!
We absolutely love how Jean designed this shaker card. At first glance, this bright, fun card wouldn’t say Clean & Simple, but its design is actually a CAS-lover’s dream! Try taking your patterned paper all the way to the edge of your cardbase and leave a wide frame around your center focal point like Jean did on this wonderful card.
A Note from Jean…
I took my color cues from the patterned paper background (TE 6×6 Paper Pack – Rainbow Brights). I framed the Happy Birthday Banner (which is actually sitting on top of an Acrylic Sheet) with a frame cut with the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 set. I embellished the scene with the Little Bits – Balloons to which I added strings from the Party Time set.
Thanks so much, Jean, for sharing this fab card with us! Be sure to visit Jean on her blog, Right as Rain. Have a joyful day!
