Fall Appreciation (Just add Pumpkins!)
TGIF, crafty friends! We hope you’ve had a splendid week of creativity. If not, wouldn’t this weekend be the perfect time to get crafty? To inspire you, we’ve got a beautiful thank you card by Creative Team member Jen Shults to get your juices flowing! Jen used our recently-released Pumpkin Bouquet along with this week’s Share Joy Challenge sketch with a twist to make her beautifully colored card that is perfect for Fall. Check it out…
A note from Jen…
To get started, I stamped the bouquet on Strathmore Bristol paper in the smooth texture using Oreo TE ink. I used my MISTI to make sure all the details stamped cleanly. I’ve been hearing that the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers work great on bristol board and I’ve been wanting to give it a try so this was the perfect opportunity! I am SO happy with how the colors blend on this paper. I did not use a water brush when coloring this.
To create the banners at the top, I die-cut all of the new Bitty Banners and stamped a sentiment from Pumpkin Bouquet on the center one. I used a bit of Ivory Burlap Twine to string them together and popped them up on foam tape. In the background, I sponged a little Salt Water Taffy ink for depth and covered the card base in orange dot paper from the Rainbow Brights 6×6 Paper Pack!
Thank you so much, Jen, for sharing this wonderful card with us — you can find more of Jen’s fabulous work on her blog, Deconstructing Jen. Be sure to check out the Share Joy Challenge and get crafty today!
