The Stockings Were Hung By the Fireside With Care on the LAST Day of Sneak Peeks!
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse! The stockings were hung By the Fireside with care…

Today, Jen Shults is featuring this gorgeous Wreath Cutting Plate project on her blog so make sure you hop over there to check out how she transformed this beautiful design!
And now I’m super excited to show you a few projects created using today’s feature products. First up, I designed this simple (yet time-consuming) Merry & Bright card:
I started by embossing the Twinkling Lights embossing folder onto TE watercolor cardstock. Then I used Zig markers to add color to each embossed light in the background. After also adding color the string, I colored the silver metal part that attaches each light to the string with silver paint pen. Adding watercolor to each individual light was definitely not a quick process, but I love the result!
I really wanted the lights to shine on this project (pun intended!) so I kept the rest of the card pretty simple. I cut the Twinkling Lights panel with a stitched rectangle and mounted that onto a slightly larger piece of Oreo cardstock. Then I wrapped the left side with black Baker’s Twine.
For the sentiment, I die cut three of the Merry & Bright frame to stack together for added stability. Before die cutting, I put Stick It on the back of the cardstock to make adhering them together much easier! You’ll also notice after you see the product photo below that I cut the words ‘merry and bright’ out of the frame so it wouldn’t cover as much of my background. I like this look, but also like the option of having the frame for a fun shaker element or even to slip in a pocket scrapbook page.
Here’s a look at the new products I used on this card:
And here’s a look at the complete supply list:
It looks like I overshared on Monday & Tuesday because this was my last remaining card for sneak peeks! But, our talented design team has so many fabulous creations to share today and there are a couple that I want to make sure you see here on the blog. First up, the amazing Jean Manis combined several dies to create this beautiful scene featuring Santa’s sleigh in her signature style.
I absolutely love the Eventful – Night Before Christmas border in the background and how she trimmed it so it sits in one corner and doesn’t draw your eye away from the focal point of the scene… the gorgeous sleigh! When you head over to Jean’s blog, you’ll want to pay close attention to the colors she chooses for her cards. They’re always bright and cheerful with a little twist! Of course, I’m partial to the teal colors on this card!
Here’s a look at the new products that Jean used on this project and you can visit her blog to check out the remaining supplies and read about how you can recreate this masterpiece:
And lastly for today, as we continue to release sets within our popular series of By the Fireside dies, I’m super excited for you to see this beautiful card designed by Gayatri Murali:
Gayatri expertly combined the By the Fireside – Santa & By the Fireside – Holidays dies to create this gorgeous scene! It’s an amazing sight to take in all the special details incorporated into this card. I love her triple layer of garland across the mantel and the beautifully sponged brick as a backdrop. The glossy colored lights across the top are the perfect addition along with the touches of gold throughout!
Here’s a look at the new products that Gayatri used on this project and you can visit her blog to find out just how she created that fabulous look with the brick!

Just leave a comment with your answer to my Question of the Day (you can still go back and play on Monday & Tuesday’s blog posts too!) and you’ll be entered to win one of our new release products or one of two Grand Prizes of 500 Crafty Points!
