I’ve been featuring inspiration using these hilarious grumplings all week and we’ve got more today!
For my card I decided to combine the Exercise Grumplings with the Sit & Chat stamp set because every lazy grumpling needs a place to sit! I started by stamping and die cutting the couch and lamp. I paper pieced the couch with a mustard houndstooth pattern (a la 70’s couch style) and colored the rest of the images with Copics.
The brown carpet is embossed with a Houndstooth pattern and the rug is also die cut with a houndstooth pattern (apparently the houndstooth was speaking to me!). I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with the new Let’s Talk Edger (pictured below) and embossed the background with the new Kaleidoscope embossing folder.
Next up we’ve got another cute critter with the Llama Love stamp and die combo. I’ve learned a lot about llamas in producing this set, but most notably that while llamas and alpacas are related, they are not the same thing. I did decide to include sentiments for both within this set so that leaves it up to you… will you make a llama or alpaca? (Note: if you’d like some llama vs. alpaca education you can find it HERE)
I went with ‘alpaca’ for my sample because the sentiment makes me chuckle. I’m also not sure whether alpacas live in barns, but this one does!
I started by stamping and die cutting the alpaca and coloring it with Copic markers. Then I began assembling the scene starting with the stamped Cloud Nine background in the sky.
When I build scenes I typically die cut and arrange everything before adhering anything together. I tend to change my mind a lot so this makes it easier! I finished off the scene by stamping the sentiment and adding a cute little flower sequin and Taylor’s Tiny Twinkle to the top of the party hat.
And last, but certainly not least, we have the super cute critters in the Give me a Sign stamp set:
Jean Manis created this super cute card and I just love the addition of the googly eyes, don’t you? And such a great idea to perch them behind the picket fence!
