Just a Thought
Yay! It’s Friday, crafty friends, which means a whole weekend to get inky in your craft space! To kick off your crafty weekend, we are sharing a beautiful card from Creative Team member, Shannon White. It’s simply amazing what you can do with a little ink and a couple dies. Check it out!
I fell in love with the In The Garden die and have been wanting to break it out for the longest time to create a very clean and crisp card in white. So, I also broke out a bit of Matched Premium Cardstock in Sugar Cube along with the Stitched Oval Stacklets to die-cut a window to frame this pretty scene. All it needed was a soft and pretty watercolor background.
My watercolor background was created using one of my favorite techniques — the super easy “smooshing” technique and my handy dandy Distress inks. (Simply ‘smoosh’ your inkpad onto a craft sheet, spritz with water, and apply your paper over it.) And for my sentiment, I heat embossed a sentiment from In & Out Birthday, masking off what I didn’t need.
Thanks so much, Shanon, for sharing this gorgeous and simple-to-make card! For more of her work, visit Shannon on her blog, Enchanted Ladybug Creations.
