Sneak Peeks Day 1: C’mon Spring!
Hey there, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here today which means it’s time to kick off sneak peeks for our February Release! Even though this winter has been mild in comparison to others, I am still ready for spring! If ‘spring’ is on your wishlist, then look no further because we’re bringing some spring with our release this month! In addition to Easter themed stamps and dies, blooms abound throughout our newest products.
All of the new products will be available for purchase at the TE webstore starting on Thursday, February 9th at 7am PST.
Before I get to the sneak peeks for today, I have an exciting new product to tell you about along with a special offer! If you tuned into the blog at the turn of 2017 you may have seen our little teaser sharing the newest product being added to the mix at Taylored Expressions; Enamel Shapes to coordinate with the TE color story! Not only do our enamel shapes match our cardstock and ink, but you also get the best of all worlds with multiples sizes of three different shapes; circles, stars, and hearts! Plus, we’ve designed them to be just slightly thinner than other enamel shapes making them easier to send through the mail.
You’ll earn double crafty points on the purchase of the Enamel Shapes Bundle; for a total of 120 Crafty Points!
And because (in the incredibly wise words of my friend, Jami) “More is More”, we have a second special offer this month!
For a limited time, earn DOUBLE CRAFTY POINTS on the purchase of the Lattice Frame Cutting Plate; for a total of 54 crafty points! This exclusive plate is only available online through the TE Web Store and at local stamp stores near you.
If you’re not a Crafty Points member, it’s free and easy to join. Just create an account at the TE webstore and you’re automatically enrolled to begin earning crafty points with every purchase. Offers valid on qualifying purchases made between 9am CST on Thursday, February 9, 2017 and 11:59 pm CST on Sunday, February 12, 2017 and only while supplies last. Crafty Points are only available on purchases made via our retail site, www.tayloredexpressions.com.
We’ll have lots of inspiration using both enamel shapes and the Lattice Cutting Plate throughout the week, but I’ll start you off with one for now:
I used the Lattice Cutting Plate shown above (side note: the ovals included in the inside of the cutting plate were designed to layer with our previously released Stitched Oval Stacklets!) along with the new Spring Florals stamps and coordinating dies below:
I stamped and die cut several of the flowers and the wreath in order to make the arrangement inside the oval portion of the frame. I popped the wreath up on foam tape and tied burlap twine around it as if to hang it from the top of the design. I accented the flowers with several coordinated enamel dots and used a Copic marker to highlight the solid colored leaves in the wreath.
Next up for today we have a new bouquet stamp with coordinating die to add to our popular collection of bouquets:
Of course, I’m in love with the teal boots that designer Melody Rupple colored in her gorgeous card above. And she’s also showing off a few of the borders in our new Skinny Mini Spring Borders set. In addition to being a fabulous accent for just about any spring project, they’re also sized and designed to work with our By the Fireside collection of mantel decor as designer Keia Shipp-Smith shares below on her fabulous card!
I told you that blooms would abound throughout our products this month, and no other product features more blooms than our new Bloomin’ Background:
Below, designer Jean Manis shows how the Bloomin’ Background pairs well with our new Simply Said – Spring set, however, lots of sentiments will fit within the oval opening to cover lots of occasions with this one background. And be on the lookout for future additions to the Simply Said collection as we explore several holidays and occasions throughout the rest of the year!
Just a couple more products to share for today and you’re not going to want to miss this beautiful addition to our embossing folder collection; the Cherry Blossom Embossing Folder:
Kim Singdahlsen shows how this embossing folder can be used in a simply stunning way in her ‘praying for you’ card below:
Or if you’re in the mood for coloring, check out the look that Keia Shipp-Smith achieved by coloring the embossed imagery:
And last (at least for today!) we have one more beautiful design to showcase; the Ornate Frame Cutting Plate:
In addition to the Ornate Frame Cutting Plate that Jean showcased beautifully in her card above, I’m leaving you with a sneak peek of what’s to come tomorrow with the beautiful cross design and another embossing folder!
Now before you head out for today, I have prizes to give away on the blog this month if you take a minute to answer my Question of the Day. Each day of sneak peeks, I will post a question and you can leave a comment with your answer for a chance to win one of our new releases before you can buy it!
Today I’m giving away the Ornate Frame Cutting Plate!
