It’s Word Art Wednesday!
Good morning, crafty friends! Today I’m popping in to share a project with you that I created for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge. This Anything Goes challenge is rooted in God’s Word and I encourage you to stop by their blog for all the details on how you can enter this week’s challenge. And TE happens to be sponsoring the challenge this week with a $25 gift certificate to the TE webstore!
To start my project, I stamped and colored the owl and branch from the Hoot Hoot Hooray set. Then I masked them with masking paper and used a Clarity Stencil Brush to lightly go over the background with Salt Water Taffy ink.
Then I cut a hole in the woodgrain patterned paper and created a darker layer to outline using the Stitched Circle Stacklets. I adhered the woodgrain over the top of the stamped owl with foam tape and added the stitched scalloped frame from Frame in Frame 2 around the outside.
To finish it off as a birthday card I embossed the sentiment (also from Hoot Hoot Hooray) with white embossing powder and added a birthday hat from the Peek-a-Boo Easter set since it was still sitting on my desk from the February release. Lots of other birthday hats would work on these cute owls though!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Now head on over to the Word Art Wednesday blog and get started on your card. Remember… Anything Goes!
