What Feeds Mom’s Soul?
TGIF, crafty friends! Will you be getting crafty this weekend? If you are looking for a creative project, how about creating something for a mom in your life for Mother’s Day? To get you started, we’re sharing a project from Shelly Mercado that is simple and sweet, and just the thing for a mom who loves to sew. She created a darling card set to gift to just such a mom, but you can create a card set that speaks directly to whatever brings joy to that special mom! Check out Shelly’s set…
A Note from Shelly on her project…
Spring is right around the corner (and probably already arrived for some of you!) and I wanted to make a set of cards with spring colors for a mom who LOVES to sew and cross-stitch. I thought it would be fun to give out this card set along with some sewing supplies for Mother’s Day!
I love the coverage of Taylored Expressions Premium Ink and how beautiful the colors are when I inked up Stitch by Stitch 2. I was able to easily match the ink to my Taylored Expressions Premium cardstock and added Taylored Expressions Enamel Shapes and Doodlebug Sprinkles to finish the cards. All the color coordination and mixing and matching makes the same image pop on every card.
Thank you so much, Shelly, for the terrific gift idea! You can find more of Shelly’s work on her blog, Popsicle Toes. Now be sure to come back next week as we have some fun with cards for BIG boys and little boys! Have a wonderful, joyful, and creative weekend!
