A Note from Charmaine about her card…

Yesterday, I shared a card that I created using the latest sketch in the Share Joy Challenge. (You can find it in this week’s TE Newsletter.) I just LOVE sketches and this sketch is so fun that I used it as a springboard for another card! I used the A Day in Paradise set for this card.   

Retirement cards are not the type you have to make often, but they are so special to make when you do. I wanted to make a masculine one to have on hand for when the occasion arises, so I thought the chairs from A Day in Paradise would be just perfect combined with some bold colors. I started by stamping the chairs onto Earl Grey cardstock and hand cutting them.

The “sun” was die-cut from Lemon Meringue with Stitched Circle Stacklets and then sponged with Candy Corn to give that “sunset” look. The tag was created using the Banner Stacklets 3.  The sentiment was stamped in Sugar Cube ink onto Oreo cardstock and embossed in white. Sequins from the Wedding Sequins bottle added the perfect little something to this card.
