June Sneak Peeks Day 2: Summer Sunshine!
Good morning, crafty friends! It’s Day 2 of our June Release and I could not be more excited! Yesterday, I showed off projects showcasing our new nautical-themed products and today we are heading out into the summer sun to catch some rays in the tropics. With the heat of the last several days, I’d love to be soaking up the sun on a beautiful tropical beach! There aren’t many beaches in Ankeny, but a girl can dream, right? *grin*

Can’t you almost feel the sand beneath your toes with this card? Kerri used it as a backdrop for our new Build a Scene – Tropical die set. I love this new die set because not only does it have a coconut tree, but it also includes tropical fronds and blossoms. With just a couple more of our Build a Scene sets and the Grass Border, Kerri has crafted a destination card that’s perfect for summer!

Next up, I’ve got a card by Gayatri Murali!
This card makes me happy! Gayatri used the new Tropical Trio stamp & die combo, stamping and coloring the birds in bright, fun colors. She nestled them within the tropical fronds from Build a Scene – Tropical. And that pretty background is our new online exclusive Cutting Plate: Tropical Blooms!

This gorgeous card by Jean Manis uses the same Tropical Blooms Cutting Plate while incorporating several pops of color:
Jean used Clarity Brushes and Distress Oxide Inks, which gave her a lot of control for a beautiful blend! The cutting plate is the star of the show with a simple sentiment (from Tropical Trio) and the Little Bits – Flip Flops. Don’t you just love it?
Next up is another card by Jean featuring three of the trendiest pineapples decked out in our Little Bits – Sunglasses:
I love the idea of adding the sunglasses to many of our critters and even to inanimate objects like the pineapple! Jean placed her three ‘sunbathing’ pineapples in front of our previously-released Beach Border, stringing our Happy Summer Banner in bright orange. This colorful card is such a great way to kick off the season.

Next is a card by Melody Rupple that is one of my absolute favorites of the whole Release!
This darling card is so full of life and dimension that you’ll want to look at it for a while to make sure you catch all the details. Melody used the palm tree from our new Build a Scene – Tropical die set as her main focal point, but it’s the details that really make it sing. The rolling waves set the stage for the little light house (from Sitting Pretty Nautical Accessories). And with that Little Bits – Adirondack Chair in place, the perfect add-on is our new Little Bits – Pail & Shovel. Did you also catch that her beach ball is an interactive element that rolls across the card? You’ll want to be sure to come back tomorrow to learn more about our new On the Right Track dies for easily adding interactive elements to your cards!
