God Bless the USA!
Happy 4th of July, crafty friends! Today marks another Independence Day for our great nation and we will be enjoying all the fun outdoors with fireworks, BBQ, friends, and good times. To celebrate, we thought we’d share a fitting card designed by one of our terrific Creative Team members, Charmaine Ikach. Check it out…
Notes from Charmaine…
I couldn’t create cards this month without including one for my FAVORITE holiday — 4th of July! I used a sentiment from the Of Thee I Sing set, as well as stars from the All-Star Accents set. With the help of the Pinhole Star Stacklets, I was able to create this patriotic card.
I started by stamping the different stars in Blue Corn and Cherry Pop ink. The Pinhole Star Stacklets were die cut out of Sugar Cube cardstock and mounted onto the card with foam tape. (I had to add some sequins too!) The sentiment was stamped in Sugar Cube ink and embossed on Oreo cardstock. I love how the pinholes in the stars help them to stand out on the Sugar Cube card base. I’ll bet you never would have guessed those stamped stars came from a “sporty” stamp set! Just goes to show how versatile stamps can be when you look through your collection!
Thank you so much, Charmaine, for sharing this wonderful, patriotic card with today! I hope you all have a safe and fantastic Fourth!
