Christmas in July — How do you spell S-N-O-W?
Hello, crafty friends! It’s mid-week and I’m still in the mood for Christmas in July! This week I’m sharing some terrific projects from our talented design team, and today I’ve got a ‘cool’ one from Shannon White. Check it out…
Notes from Shannon…
WhooHoo! Christmas in July! Yay! Well, it’s definitely one way to keep a “cooler”state of mind. And I don’t know about you, but if your Christmas card list is anywhere near as long as mine, it’s also a good time to start creating them so you won’t be rushing to finish them at the last minute like I have done so many times in the past! For my first set of Christmas cards for 2017, I grabbed TE’s Christmas Treat Toppers dies and used them in a fun way to spell out “Let it Snow” for some quick and easily-duplicated creations.
First, I cut out my Poster Graphic Alpha letters and the Snowflake Treat Topper from both Cherry Pop and Sugar Cube CS. Next I layered them together and popped them up onto my Card’s background with a bit of foam tape for some fun dimension. The background was created with the help of TE’s Winter Flurry Embossing Folder, Sugar Cube CS and Cherry Pop CS. To finish them all up, I stamped TE’s Baby, It’s Cold Outside sentiment with Oreo Matched Premium Ink directly onto the card’s background And voila! — there you have it: my first Christmas card make of the year!
Thanks, Shannon, for sharing this cool die-cut card with us today. I love the fun dimension of the red ‘shadow’ behind the letters. Gorgeous! Tune back in tomorrow for more Christmas fun!
