And now for my own monthly layout for August! We have big changes happening around our house this fall as we send Madi off to Kindergarten, Charlee to preschool, and Henry to daycare. Wow, time flies! So the next few weeks are filled with meet the teacher events, back to school night, and reminders to myself about sack lunches, school supplies, and more! I just love the images in the School Day set and I used a lot of them to decorate this layout. I thought primary colors were appropriate for the back to school theme.
In addition to school events, fall sports are kicking off and I know the After School set will come in handy as Madi starts volleyball camp and both girls will be doing soccer starting up in September. In addition, grandma comes to visit (marked by the airplane from the By Appointment set), the cleaning fairy comes to visit (marked by the spray bottle from Clean Freak), and special dates take center stage with the banner from Sign me Up and numbers from the Doodle Alpha set.
I stamped the majority of my images onto Sticker Paper and cut them out so that I could color the images with Copic markers without worrying about the bleed through. I stamped the words ‘back to school’ in the Puffy Alpha and paper pieced the letters with the red polka dot patterned paper from Rainbow Brights paper pack.
I’m pretty happy with how this turned out and there’s still room to cram more onto these busy days so that’s a plus!
