Spook-tacular Cards Week: Hand Over the Candy!
Hey there, crafty friends! I hope you enjoyed all our birthday festivities last week celebrating our 9th birthday — our whole team had a splendid time celebrating. This week, I thought I’d share some projects from our awesome Creative Team featuring one of my very favorite holidays…Halloween! So grab your favorite sweet treat and check out this hilarious card from designer Shelly Mercado…
Notes from Shelly about her project…
Grumplings in Costume has the cutest Halloween images and they are not your usual Halloween images. I thought it would be fun to make a Halloween card that doesn’t use traditional “Halloween” imagery like witches, ghosts, and a dark color theme. So, I used the adorable cow and the Build a Scene dies to create a farm yard trick-or-treat!
I used a sponge with Matched Premium Ink in Sprinkles, Cookie Monster and Blue Corn to create my night sky and then die cut it with Starry Night Cutting Plate. I am in love with this cutting plate and love how the stars sparkle! I love how easy the Build a Scene dies make it to create a cute and fun scene!
I added a few pumpkins from Peek-a-Boo Pumpkins and added the sentiment to the inside.
Thank you so much, Shelly, for sharing this card — it was definitely good for a giggle! Be sure to come back tomorrow as I share another card to help inspire you to create some spook-tacular joy to send to someone this Halloween!
