Spook-tacular Cards Week: Hello, Mummy!
A big BOO to you, crafty friends! This week, I’m sharing some pretty awesome Halloween cards — with this tricksy holiday just around the corner, I am getting all my cards ready to send out to friends and family. Today, I’ve got Shannon White joining us and she is the queen of holiday fun. I absolutely love the card she created and I bet you will, too! Check it out…
Notes from Shannon about her project…
Halloween cards are probably one of my most favorite types of cards to create — they are right up there with Christmas and Valentine’s for me! They really get me into the fun spooky spirit of that time of year. And then I share the fun by sending them out to friends and family each year, so I am forever looking for ideas to create lots of cards quickly and easily. For this fun and fabulous creation I give all the credit to my sweet teamie Michelle Boyer for inspiring me with a card I spotted on her blog — you can see the original HERE.
… And this is my take on her Fa-Booo-lous creation! I used TE’s Diagonal Cutting Plate like Michele did and enlisted the help of TE’s Gunny Sack Background stamp and Oreo Matched Premium Ink for some fun bandage-y type texture with a bit of distressing with Earl Grey Ink. I adhered all my pieces onto an Oreo Premium Cardstock card base after cutting a bit away for the mummy’s googly eyes, which I framed with the help of TE’s Sack It Leprechan eye die cuts in Jelly Donut cardstock that just happened to be the perfect size! To finish them all up, I just topped off my cards with a distressed Banner Stacklets die cut tab, stamped with my “Spooktacular” sentiment.
Thanks so much, Shannon, for sharing this project today! Drop back in tomorrow for more Halloween fun and have a joyful day!
