October Sneak Peeks Day 2: Dreaming of a White Christmas
Hellllooooo crafty friends! It’s Day 2 of sneak peeks for our Christmas release! Yesterday we featured our cutesy Christmas collection and today’s stamps and dies are a touch more elegant. We have additions to the Big Blooms collection, petite bouquet collection, and Sitting Pretty collection, along with some beautiful religious expressions and a whole new collection of products that will have you walking through a winter wonderland!
Just in case you missed the start of sneak peeks yesterday, I want to make sure you know about our double points offer for this release. For a limited time, earn DOUBLE CRAFTY POINTS on our Merry Mail 1 and Merry Mail 2 stamp sets!
These sets were designed especially for decorating the envelopes for your Christmas cards. My video on Thursday will feature tips and tricks for quickly adding pizzazz to your envelopes so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, you’ll be seeing lots of decorated envelopes as you hop around to the blogs of our creative team members. If you’re not a Crafty Points member yet, it’s free and easy to join. Just create an account at the TE webstore and you’re automatically enrolled to begin earning crafty points with every purchase.
So now let’s get to the goodies! I’d like to start today’s sneak peeks by introducing you to a collection of products designed to coordinate together to create really gorgeous snowy scenes!
Here’s a look at three of the cards I made combining different elements from these products:
Here’s today’s video where I feature these three products and explain a little bit more about how they were designed to work together and how I created the projects shown above:
I hope you learned a little something about the Snowed In collection and can start envisioning how you’d use it on your own projects! I must say these are three of my favorite products from this release and I think you’ll see why when you hop around to see all the amazing projects the designers have created.
Remember the birthday challenge last month where I was to choose one lucky winner from among all the entries to join us as a guest designer? Well, I just couldn’t do it so I chose two! Yesterday you saw a project from Noriko and today I’m excited to share with you a cute card by Valerie using the Winter White set with Snowed In Sayings:
Valerie’s snowflakes are so pretty in pastel! And her white on white vellum sentiment panel is simple and understated to keep the focus on the beautiful background. You can check out more about Valerie’s card on her blog: Val by Design.
If you’re a ‘colorer’ then you’re going to love the next couple sets I have to share. The Big Blooms – Poinsettia is the next addition to our Big Blooms collection, and Jen Shults took this stamp to a whole new level on her gorgeous card!
Gayatri expertly added color to the new Sleigh Bouquet stamp (coordinating die sold separately) on her beautiful card:
If you’re more into solid stamping than you are into coloring then this next set, an addition to our Simply Stamped collection, will be right up your alley! I’m super excited about Simply Stamped – Christmas Tree and the coordinating die set to deck the tree to the max!
There are so many options with this tree which is what I love about it! You can create an “indoor” tree with the first two layers and as many die cut decor items as you desire. Or create an ‘outdoor’ tree by adding the snow-tipped third layer. We’ve made alignment with a MISTI even easier when you use the two bold portions at the bottom left and right of the detail layer as a guide to align with the solid base image. Here are a couple beautiful samples by Jen & Jean showing both an outdoor and an indoor tree:
Now perhaps you’re not much of a stamper or colorer, but you’re a die-cutter? I’ll put my mom in this category! She’ll even make me stamp the sentiment on her cards! Well, if that’s you, then we’ve got a few things for the die-cutters too! Each year, I love adding something new to our product line for creating beautiful religious cards. This Christmas we’re adding the Nativity Cutting Plate and the Build a Scene – Nativity die set:
Melody combined this new die with the previously released Twinkle Twinkle Background on her card. I love the depth she achieved on her night sky!
The Build a Scene – Nativity die set was sized to work on our By the Fireside mantel as Kim shows in the sample below, but Jean and Keia show fabulous uses for the dies apart from the fireside display:
Also appropriate for decorating By the Fireside or Sitting Pretty on a shelf is Sitting Pretty Holiday Accessories:
And last, but not least, we have two new Little Bits dies that make a beautiful addition or standalone for your holiday cards:
OK I lied…. one more thing before I head out for today! You may have noticed a lot of cards featuring beautiful gold and silver foil. Well, I have some exciting news! This month we’re introducing gold and silver foil cardstock to our collection. We’ve sourced the very best product that cuts beautifully with our dies and has the perfect shine without being blinding!
That’s all I’ve got up my sleeve today and I hope you’ll stop back tomorrow as I share some really cool products designed especially for holiday gifting. In the meantime, leave a comment and tell me your favorite product from today’s sneak peeks for a chance to win!
Today I’ll be giving away the Snowed In Background!
