April 2018 Release Countdown Day 2: C’mon Spring!
Good morning, crafty friends, and welcome to Day 2 of sneak peeks for our April Release! It’s been a long winter here this year and I’m daily cheering “C’mon Spring!” as if that will help the cause. But alas, Mother Nature isn’t listening to me as we’re waking up to another dusting of snow this morning. So instead of enjoying springlike temperatures, budding trees, and the smell of fresh rain, I’ve been inviting spring into my card creations with beautiful florals, bright butterflies, and springtime color combinations!
Before I get to today’s sneak peeks, I want to remind you of our special double points promotion that extends through Sunday on purchases made at the TE webstore. As a member of our Crafty Points Loyalty Program, you will receive 1 crafty point for every $1 you spend. Once you’ve accumulated 20 crafty points you’ll receive $1 off a future purchase! With each new release, we have a special promotion where you can earn double points on a specific product or group of products. This month we’re offering double points when you purchase the Stencil Bundle which includes 1 of each of our 6 new designs!
So when you purchase the Stencil Bundle between April 5th – 8th you’ll earn 84 Crafty Points! All of our new products will be available for purchase starting Thursday, April 5th at 9am CDT at the TE webstore!
So let’s get started on today’s reveals with a beautiful new addition to our Simply Stamped collection – the Simply Stamped – Wreath. Our Simply Stamped series includes stamps designed to layer on top of one another to create a dimensional one-layer image. With everything from butterflies and flowers to pinecones and pineapples, we have a full-range of layering imagery! Plus, with the help of the MISTI and a few simple tips & tricks for aligning these images, creating a set of notecards featuring the wreath is a breeze!
Next up, we’re going BIG with Big Blooms & Big Butterfly! Keia Shipp-Smith used the new Big Blooms – Zinnia in such a creative way to create a gatefold on the front of her card. She dressed up the inside of the fold with a sentiment from the recently released Words of Faith stamp set. Simply gorgeous!
Next up, Noriko Fairchild took the new Big Butterfly in a beautiful direction with these teal and purple hues. And she shows that the new Frayed Edge Stacklets aren’t just for pirate-themed cards!
If coloring the Big Butterfly looks like fun to you, then you’re definitely going to love the Color Me Background! Yes, it takes time to color, but it’s oh, so worth it! I love how Keia shows that you don’t have to complete the entire image to make a stunning background!
Let’s get back to the florals with our new Rosette Cutting Plate! There are so many sentiments to choose from to fill the open space in the center! I also love how Melody pieced her rosette design in various colors, added a few coordinating flowers from the Bloomers 8 set, vellum butterflies from the Little Bits – Butterflies set, and a stenciled background using the new Chevron Arrow stencil. So many beautiful details to behold!
Continuing on with the floral rosette theme, Jean Manis used our new Roll With It flower dies to create the rolled flowers from several colors of our 100% wool felt and paired them with the rosettes in the new Blooming Beautiful stencil design in the background. Note: our Roll With It flower dies are also in the Mixed Media format like our Puzzled Cutting Plate and will cut thicker materials like chipboard, multiple layers of fabric, leather, denim, and felt, of course!
Last, but certainly not least, Kim Singdahlsen has a beautiful reminder to share using the new Iconic Wishes – Sparrow set! Did you notice the stenciling in the background? I quick tone on tone layer makes a beautiful backdrop for this sweet and simple design.
Day 2 of sneak peeks is in the books! I hope you see something that inspires you to get crafty and Share Joy! I’ll have more to share tomorrow as we celebrate moms, dads, grads, and teachers! Until then, answer my Question of the Day for a chance to win!
To color or not to color? That is the question! Give me your thoughts on coloring – whatever they may be! Love it? Leave it? Favorite coloring medium? Favorite image to color? Tell me whatever you want me to know! I love reading all of your comments, likes/dislikes, stories, preferences and more.
Today I’m giving away either the Color Me Background (if you love to color) OR the Simply Stamped – Wreath (if you’re more of an inker)!
Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the Creative Team has been up to with today’s featured products and we’ll see you back here tomorrow for more sneak peeks!
