Die Cutting for Days: Happy Camper
Happy Friday, friends! Any big weekend plans? I’ll be working this weekend as we open up the local studio for our annual warehouse sale. Throughout the year we accumulate lots of gently used stamps, tools, retired items, and random crafty goodies we find stashed away in corners of our warehouse we didn’t even know we had! I wish everybody could come, but if you’re a short drive away from Ankeny, then you should definitely come! I’ll make sure I take some pictures and share on Monday. Anybody interested in a crafty grab box shipment (that is if we have anything left over!)?
Today’s the last day of our Die Cutting for Days theme here on the blog and I have another Jean Manis original featuring one of my favorite dies, On the Road – Camper:
I’ve noticed that Jean often builds her scenes within a circle and I’m always drawn to these cards so I went hunting through her gallery for a few more examples. Maybe you’ll be inspired to try your next scene inside a circle!
Anyone want to take a guess at how many different die sets Jean incorporated into her camper card!? NINE! Friends, this is not an easy thing to do. A scene like this, so expertly constructed, is much easier for me to CASE than to come up with myself! My favorite part of the card is the snow-capped mountain. I love it when clever uses of our dies require me to look up the supply list to figure out what was used! From the looks of Jean’s supply list, she used a portion of our Roll with It Flower 2 die to create the snow caps.
Finished off with the Little Bits – Bicycle and the Little Bits – Adirondack Chair, this is the perfect summer vacation scene! Will you be finding yourself in a comfy outdoor chair in front of your camper this weekend!? Whether you’re enjoying the great outdoors or the air-conditioned indoors, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and we’ll see you back here next week!
