Die Cutting for Days: Surf Bus Scene
Hey there, crafty friends! Did you learn a thing to two from Jean’s tools, tips, and tricks post yesterday? I hope so! One of my favorite parts of product development is designing collections of products that fit together and can be used in a variety of ways. So whether the product is something we released this year or last year or four years ago, we’re always testing the size and mocking up options to make sure our collection is cohesive, coordinating, and gives you the most options for product combination. This is exactly why I love our collection of Build a Scene products so much! From basics like clouds and waves to themed seasonal die sets, everything in this collection can be combined to create the most beautiful scenic die-cut cards!
Today, I’m sharing an adorable summer card designed by Creative Team member Keia Shipp-Smith that combines several products from our Build a Scene collection:
Keia’s entire scene is built on top of the Sunshine Cutting Plate cut from Lemon Meringue cardstock and adhered over Salt Water Taffy. She continued building the scene with waves from Build a Scene – Rolling Waves die set and sandy hills using Build a Scene – Rolling Hills.
Her scene becomes even more tropical with the addition of palm trees from Build a Scene – Tropical and the adorable Guava colored On the Road – Surf Bus! Love that surf bus! The sentiment from the Free Spirit stamp set was the perfect addition as ‘free spirit’ is exactly what comes to mind when I imagine this surf bus rolling onto the beach!
You can find the complete supply list for Keia’s card below and tune in tomorrow for another scene as we continue Die Cutting for Days!
