It’s Our 10th Birthday! Designer Reunion Blog Hop
Hello crafty friends! Are you ready to party!? I sure hope so because our 10th Birthday Mega Party has just begun! We kicked off our birthday celebration with our 10th Birthday Release last night that includes a dozen new stamps and dies along with a new stencil perfect for creating special birthday cards.
On top of the new goodies we have a special surprise and a party favor for orders placed during our 10-year birthday celebration. Don’t wait too long as the special offers expire September 9th! Here are the details:
I’ve been looking forward to today for a long time! Why? Because I love a good party and today is the Mega Party portion of our 10-year birthday celebration! Over 40 past and present design team members are joining us today to share a bit of TE inspiration! These women have supported Taylored Expressions over the span of our journey by sharing their talent for creating beautiful eye candy. And I am humbled. Humbled that at some point they took a leap of faith and made the decision to help me – little me – achieve a dream. These wonderful women are so much more than card designers – they’re friends – and they’ve all been an encouragement to me at some point during this journey. Regardless of how long we worked together, I am grateful for each designer and it brings a huge smile to my face to have everyone here for this special reunion. (((GROUP HUG)))
I’ll be posting thumbnails of all of the designer’s projects at the bottom of this post along with links to each of their blogs so I hope you’ll hop around and check ’em out! Their projects feature both new and previously released TE products so you might even get some inspiration for a stamp, die, or stencil that you already have in your collection!
To mark this special occasion I wanted to create a memento with designers from the last 10 years, so while the project I have to share today is not card-related, it is something I will cherish forever! Several of our past design team members are still stamping often, some not quite as much, and some not at all. Ten years is a long time and I knew not everyone would be able to participate by creating a project. But certainly, everyone could sign their name, right? So I hatched a plan to send a die cut balloon to each designer asking them to sign their name or write a message on the balloon and return it to me. Once again – these ladies never disappoint! With their signed balloons I was able to put together this amazing (and humongous!) piece of art that will be a life-long treasure!
The adorable squirrel was illustrated by Danielle Lounds as part of the Matchy Matchy stamp set. I was able to blow him up about 700% and now he makes the perfect anchor for the balloon bouquet!
Thank you to each of these designers for making TE’s 10th Birthday truly special. And now here’s a look at all of their fabulous inspiration!
So what do all these cards have in common? Yep, you guessed it… they’re all birthday cards! And that makes them perfect for donation to our latest Share Joy Campaign! The focus of our current Share Joy Campaign is on collecting and distributing birthday cards to retirement communities, long-term care facilities, and nursing homes across the United States. Now we’re looking to YOU, the cardmaking community, for your handmade birthday card donations to help make a difference in the lives of others. You can read more about our mission to share joy and how you can participate in the latest campaign (plus a chance to win a prize!) with the details HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping in for the Mega Party! Have fun on the hop!
