After the blast from the past with sentiments in our Hip Hop Bunny stamp set, today’s we’re blasting straight back to 1990 with the name of this stamp set; Can’t Touch This. Listen here; you can thank me later. *grin* You won’t find any hammer pants on this card, but you will see some super cute cacti! In my video below, I’ll share a few tips for creating this card including the setup of your MISTI alignment tool for quick and easy mass-production.
The Creative Team is keeping the fiesta fun going with lots of cute cactus cards! As you saw in the video, the stamp set includes texture overlays that coordinate perfectly with the dies, cheeky options to anthropomorphize your cactus and fun sentiments that are sure to bring a smile to your face. Besides the cactus shapes, the die collection includes pots, flowers, and even a sombrero to dress up your cacti. Tip: the sombrero also fits perfectly on the llama in the No Drama Llama die collection! *wink*
Heather Nichols gathered a bunch of cacti together for a fiesta on her card. Toffee cardstock is perfect for adding an authentic “in the desert” feel! She added faces, flowers, and even the sombrero to the cacti get them ready to party. I love how she glittered the banners from the Skinny Mini Fiesta Borders set – adding to the festive party feel!
Now what’s the perfect pair for a cactus – well, a llama, of course! The new Whole Llama Love stamp set includes sentiments for lots of occasions to pair with the No Drama Llama die set! Plus, the die set includes 2 stamps to customize the face and a whole bunch of fun accessories to dress up the llama. You can see in the peeks above that the llama looks pretty in pastels and festive in bright colors as well. The Creative Team sure had a whole llama fun with this collection! Let’s take a closer look at a few of the projects:
Angelica Conrad used her Copic markers to create this bright and festive llama birthday card. I love the wooly texture on the llama’s coat and all of the fun details that Angelica added using a white gel pen. This card is also decked out with lots of decorations using the Skinny Mini Fiesta Borders and the Free Fall Background stamp.
This card by Heather Nichols just makes me laugh out loud! Those glittery glasses and scarf give the llama just the right bit of spunk and attitude to go with the “hay girl haaayyy” sentiment. Plus, Heather added even more sparkle with the Polka Party stencil and Moonstone glimmer paste, masking off part of the stencil to make room for that hysterical sentiment!
If this next stamp set looks familiar to you, then you were probably at our Stamp Joy event in 2018! This was the stamp set that was in attendee goodies bags and now it’s being released for everyone. The set includes a bunch of fun friends (including another llama!) designed to peek out from your card creations. The coordinating dies for the critters in the set do not cut across the bottom which gives you some fun peeking options! Kim Singdahlsen added a crowd of party llama on her cute card above.
Last, but certainly not least, I’m excited to share our Folk Art/Scandinavian Spring themed products! The folksy sentiments and kitschy imagery give such a fun, homey feel to these projects. And you’ll see that it’s easy to switch up the color combo for completely different looks:
Melody Rupple used the Scandinavian Spring Background stamp and Folk Art – Spring die collection to create this bright and cheery card. She did some beautiful blending on the die cut shapes to create the focal image for her card and I love how she trimmed the two flower stems at different lengths. A whole garden of these flowers would be super cute, right?
Jen Shults used the same products as Melody, but paired them with the new Folk Art Phrases stamp set. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder on a Stitched Banner Stacklets cut from vellum. I love how she layered it over a larger sized banner for a beautiful, textured look.
Jen Shults embossed a few more sentiments from the Folk Ark Phrases stamp set for this cute set of cards. She layered the sentiments onto a beautifully ink blended design that she created with the new Folk Art Tulip stencil. The cute little birds create the perfect finishing touch!
And finally for today, Gayatri Murali stenciled a colorful background onto her project using the new Double Diamond stencil and a few of the new colors making their debut this month: Spearmint and Raspberry Sorbet. She embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and layered it over some Double-ended Flag Stacklet die cuts in Raspberry Sorbet and Spearmint cardstock.
