Calendar Crafting – Mini Desk & 5×7
Hey, crafty friends! Do you love to accessorize your desk? I certainly do! I love cups of colorful pens, cute lamps, filled up bulletin boards, and fun baskets and trays for my papers, books, and notepads. I love to find things in my favorite patterns and colors so that my workspace feels like “me”. I also love displaying handmade cards and mementos from my friends and loved ones in my desk space.
Desk calendars are a perfect addition to dress up your desk space. They are even more special when they are handmade! I have some calendar making inspiration using the mini desk calendar products and 5×7 calendar products. If you missed the news, the new 2020 calendars are available to purchase in the Taylored Expressions webstore right now! The 2020 calendars are available in the following formats: 3×4 calendars, 5×7 calendars, 6×6 calendar downloads, mini desk calendars, and mini tear-off calendars.
Set your desk in style with the mini desk calendar. I love the look of this calendar so much. It’s something that you might see at a high end stationery store or boutique!
The In Season die collection used to make the calendar dividers is designed so you can keep things simple and cut them with just plain cardstock colors or you can step it up with different coloring techniques. You could color the seasonal borders with watercolor, Copic markers, colored pencils, and more!
In the video, Taylor shares a little more about the mini desk calendars, how they were designed, and how to create the dividers with the In Season die collection. This calendar is just perfect for gift giving!
Next, let’s take a look at the 5×7 calendars:
Kim Singdahlsen created this beautiful calendar with the 5×7 calendar pages and the Be Still stamp set. The Be Still stamp set includes 12 verses which makes it perfectly suited for calendar creating. She also added different die cut flowers and gorgeous textures using different embossing folders for each month. What a wonderful and thoughtful gift idea!
Kim used the Display Easel to hold her calendar pages for displaying, but you could also add these pages into a pretty frame or on a clipboard too!
Each month of the 5×7 calendar is printed on a separate sheet of 100 lb. white cardstock with blank space at the top for decorating. With the larger space to personalize each month, there are so many options of stamp sets and dies you can use. The Build a Scene: Calendar 5×7 die collection gives you a perfectly sized frame along with some other elements to use on the 5×7 calendar pages.
Don’t forget that the 2020 calendars are available to purchase right now! Click below to shop the 2020 calendar options.
