Life gets so busy and being able to slow things down and make plans to spend time together is a special treat. I do love looking back at the cards that they have given me over the years for Mother’s Day, both hand made and bought, to see their names, scribbles, drawings, and messages of love for me.

I have more inspiration for Mother’s Day card making for you again today. The last few days have been all about flowers for Mother’s Day, but today I have something not so flowery, but definitely bright, fun, and colorful. The “smooshing” technique that Taylor used on this card is an easy one to do and the result are just so fun and colorful!

I have a few more projects to share with you today that use the stamps and dies included in the kits above.

Taylor created this pair of Mother’s Day shaker cards with the Color Me Background stamp, Caps Lock – Mom die, and Caps Lock Companion – Mom/Dad stamp set. I love how Taylor used the background both colored and uncolored and creatively die cut the pieces to create two cards at the same time.

Jen Shults created a beautiful color blend over an embossed Color Me Background. I love how Jen layered a vellum heart over the background to set the die cut letters from Caps Lock – Mom and embossed “thankful for you” sentiment from the Caps Lock Companion – Mom/Dad stamp set onto.

Jean Manis had way too much fun with color on this card using the Color Me Background stamp! This is an eclipse style card, but Jean left the Caps Lock – Mom letters uncolored so they stand out a bit more. She added the “thankful for you” sentiment from the Caps Lock Companion – Mom/Dad stamp set embossed in white on a Oreo Double Ended Flag Stacklets die cut.
