Holiday Gift Giving – Hinged Tins Make Gift Wrapping Easy!
Hey, crafty friends! How are you doing with your holiday shopping? Are you creating handmade gifts this year? I definitely love when I can make the time to create something from the heart for the people that I love. At the very least, I love adding handmade touches to my gift wrapping. Today, I tackled gift wrapping some smaller gifts by using hinged tins. I added a few personal touches using some different products from the Taylored Expressions webstore that are designed to work perfectly with the tins.
We put together a Gift Giving Bundle that will give you a jumpstart on wrapping up gift cards, earrings created with our Designer Dangles products, our enamel pins, and more! The Gift Giving Bundle includes the following:
- 5 hinged tins
- Gift Card Frame die
- 1 roll of 1/8″ Easy Tear Tape
- Playful Patterns – Holiday 6×6 Paper Pack
Now through Sunday, November 24th, you can pick up this bundle for 20% off the regular retail cost. Click below to shop now!
Watch the video below to see how I put together my own decorated tins to package up small gifts for the holidays:
There’s not a lot of stamping involved for this project. For the stamped sentiments on the tins, I used some Mini Strips – Holiday sentiments that I had already stamped for a previous project. I love that I had these sentiments ready to go and they worked perfectly for these tins!
There are several die collections designed to work perfectly with the hinged tins: The Gift Card Frame die, the Tin Topper die, and the On Display Tin Insert die. These dies take the guesswork out of cutting and measuring your patterned paper and cardstock to decorate the tins!
Your small gifts are perfectly displayed in the tins using the On Display Tin Insert die. I added the optional earring holes for the earrings and there is also a die option for displaying a necklace in the die collection. For the enamel pin I just pushed the pin right through the insert piece and added the pin back to secure it. By the way, that heart pin? It was a special gift for our Stamp Joy 2019 attendees. You might just see that pin again in the future… *wink!*
You can decorate and embellish your tins with die cuts or stamped images however you would like and you can even customize your decor to the gift recipient! I used the Winter Greens die collection to add the red bows and pine branches to my tins. I scattered some snowflakes on the tins for a fun finishing touch using the Little Bits – Snowflake Confetti die collection.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the Gift Giving Bundle that I mentioned at the beginning of the post so you can get a jump start on creating your own packaging for the holidays. It is only available for a limited time! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. There will be more crafty inspiration coming your way later this week from Taylor, so make plans to stop back again.
