HOT FLASH ALERT – NEW Grumplings Available NOW!

Hey, crafty friends! Summer is here, it’s hot out… wait, that’s just me? *wink!* I am so excited to share a snarky new set of products making their debut today – Hot Flash Grumplings! These Grumplings are HOT, hormonal, and having a not so great day…. Ummm, I can definitely relate to some of those things, can you? I have inspiration to share with you from Taylor and the TE Creative Team today, but before we get started you need all the details on the new stamp set and coordinating dies!
The new Hot Flash Grumplings and the coordinating dies are available to purchase right now In the Taylored Expressions webstore!
The Hot Flash Grumplings stamp set includes 4 crabby critters, a few accessories, and snarky sentiments related to the “big change” that most women go through later in life. You’ll be laughing out loud as you create cards, tags, and more to share your friends and family who will be able to relate. Laughter is the best way to get through some of the challenging parts of life, right? Cut out the critters and accessory images in the set using the coordinating Hot Flash Grumplings die collection. Watch the video below to see how Taylor created her Z-fold card featuring the bird from the Hot Flash Grumplings set that is pictured at the top of this post:
In the video, Taylor shares how to fold your cardstock to create a Z-fold, stenciling a design across the closed Z-fold card, and adding the bird critter and sentiment from the Hot Flash Grumplings set.

Taylor stenciled the Here Comes the Sun stencil across the front of her Z-fold card using Blender Brushes, Pineapple ink, and Candy Corn ink. She added a few Bits & Pieces – Drip Drops to create a shimmery sun and added a few die cut clouds across her scene.

I love how when the Z-fold card is opened, it reveals the rest of the picture and has the perfect spot to add a sentiment and/or note to the card recipient. Speaking of sentiments, I think this one is the one that really made me laugh from the set! The bird from the Hot Flash Grumplings set is perched on a branch that Taylor created with the On a Limb – Branches and On a Limb – Leaves die collections.
Check out the list below for the supplies that Taylor used to create her card:

The TE Creative Team had way too much fun creating with the new Hot Flash Grumplings stamp set and coordinating dies. Let’s take a look!

Jill Hawkins used the panda from the Hot Flash Grumplings set for her card. I like how her background looks like a rainbow warning chart and when you get to that blue line – watch out! Jill created the background with the 3/4″ Stripe Stencil Set, masking the stripes at the different heights. The ‘Warning: Hormonal…’ sentiment goes perfectly with the panda’s dazed (or over caffeinated?) look…!

This card is created by me (Heather Nichols) and it features the crabby hedgehog. This hedgehog has the glitter and the caffeination in her favorite rainbow mug, but is still just having a day. The background of my card is created with the Polka Party stencil and the Masking Stencils – Circles set. I applied Toffee ink through the stencils with a Bender Brush on Toffee cardstock for a tone on tone look.

Melody Rupple gave the panda Grumpling a fan to help with the hot flash issue on her card. Melody added the panda to a background that she stenciled with the Set the Scene – Cloud Stencil Strips set… or is that steam from the ‘hot’ Grumpling???

Well now, this zebra Grumpling has every right to be crabby on this card created by Jen Shults! Not only has the wine spilled…. it’s RED wine that will probably STAIN! Now this Grumpling will probably have to spend time Googling red wine stain removal online all afternoon and won’t that be a treat…?! Jen added her zebra Grumpling, wine glass, and spilled wine bottle to a background that is created with the Masking Stencils – Rectangles set and Blender Brushes.
