The project I am sharing today features the Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set, the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set, and the Handlettered Love stamp set (+ new coordinating dies). Watch the video below to see how this project came together:
In the video, I share how to use the Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set with my Blender Brushes to create a great heart background. There are several hearts in the stencil design that are sized to coordinate perfectly with the pattern overlays from the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set to add even more detail! I added a sentiment from the Handlettered Love stamp set embossed in white along with a few tiny white hearts from the Bits & Pieces – Hearts embellishments.
Here’s a closer look at the new products from the release that I shared in the video:
The new Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set includes two stencils to create a heart filled background on your projects. There is one larger heart in the center that is perfectly sized to place a sentiment or image. Some of the hearts in the stenciled design are also sized to match the patterned clear stamps from the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set for even more possibilities!
The Handlettered Love dies coordinate with our previously released Handlettered Love stamp set (sold separately) to perfectly set off the sentiments on your projects.
You just saw the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set in the video above! Use the cling background to stamp the solid hearts and then add patterns to the hearts using the clear set. Create a whole background or use the coordinating die to cut out individual hearts to use on your projects.
The greatest thing about the Heart of Hearts stencil is the largest heart in the center of the design. It’s the perfect place to add a sentiment (like I did here) or focal image. I used Guava and Cherry Pop inks to stencil the design on my project, but you can use whatever color combination that you can dream up. You could use this stenciled heart design for an anniversary or wedding card too!
Being able to add extra patterns and detail to your project with the clear set from the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo expands the possibilities for the many different looks you can achieve with the Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set. I used Sugar Cube ink to stamp the patterns on this card. You could do a tone on tone look for a subtle effect or go bold with a contrasting or darker color.
Check out the list below for the supplies that I used on my project:
Here’s more inspiration from members of the TE Creative Team as well as a closer look at a few more of the new products that are available to purchase today for our Valentine release!
Natasha Valkovskaya brought out all the Valentine colors for this card created with the Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set. She used her Blender Brushes with Strawberry Milkshake and Guava inks for the heart background. The ‘love is all you need’ sentiment is perfectly showcased in the largest heart and is put together using the On the Block – Love stamp (+ coordinating die) and Building Blocks – Love Additions stamp (+ coordinating die).
Here is another card that I (Heather Nichols) created using the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set. I stamped the solid heart background with Sugar Cube ink onto Toffee cardstock and then put additional colored & patterned hearts over a selection of the white hearts in the background. The single hearts were stamped in Guava or Cherry Pop inks with the pattern overlays added with Sugar Cube ink. The ‘love you to pieces’ sentiment from the Handlettered Love stamp set is embossed in white on Cherry Pop cardstock and cut out with the new coordinating dies.
The pretty hand-lettered sentiments from the Handlettered Love stamp set work wonderfully as the focal point for a card like Emily Mydlowski did here on this pretty set of Valentine cards. She added the sentiments that are cut out with the Handlettered Love dies onto vellum Heart Stacklets die cuts and layered them over pretty embossed backgrounds. The card on the left is embossed with the Rosy Posey embossing folder and the card on the right is embossed with the Dotted Lattice embossing folder and embellished using Bits & Pieces – Full of Heart.
Add the perfect touches to your Valentine projects and more with our fun Stencil Strips – Love set! With patterns of hearts, stripes, polka dots, the word “love”, an “xoxo” pattern, and chevrons, the working portion of each stencil measures 1 1/2″ x 6 1/4″, making them ideal for use on both A2 and Mini Slim cards. The Stencil Strips – Love set includes 6 stencil designs.
Annette Allen used the heart stencil from the Stencil Strips – Love set to create a background design that fills up her whole card. To add interest and break up the design a bit, she added a few cardstock strips in coordinating Valentine themed colors. The ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ sentiment is from the Handlettered Love stamp set (+ new coordinating dies) and is popped up in the center of her card.
The new Fill in the Blank – Love Cling & Clear Combo set includes three large sentiments that are all missing a letter/symbol. Simply fill the open space with a heart created with the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set (+ coordinating die), or another image from your collection. Complete the sentiments with the photopolymer stamp set that includes seven coordinating words and phrases.
Gayatri Murali used the Fill in the Blank – Love stamp set to add the ‘I {heart} you’ sentiment to her love themed card. The background on the card is stenciled using the stencil with only smaller hearts in the Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set with Lavender Glaze ink. This card design would be a great one to try out with other colors too! She used the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set to add the patterned heart that completes the ‘I {heart} you’ sentiment along with the other solid hearts that are popped up on the card.
Here’s a Mini Slim Valentine card by Emily Mydlowski featuring the ‘XOXO’ sentiment from the Fill in the Blank – Love stamp set. I love her color combination using Cookie Monster with a few shades of pink! Emily added hearts created with the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set to complete the ‘XOXO’ sentiment and added a border to the bottom of her project using the ‘XOXO’ stencil from the Stencil Strips – Love set. The cute scalloped border and shimmery hearts scattered across the card are great details that are sure to bring a smile to anybody’s mailbox for Valentine’s Day!
Kavya always gets creative when using the Fill in the Blank sets and this Valentine card is no exception! The letters to spell out ‘love’ are trimmed out and Kavya used Millie from the new Love from Max & Millie stamp set for the ‘O’ – so cute! The sentiment is surrounded with a bunch of hearts that she created using the Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set (+ coordinating die). The sparkly background was done with the new Mini Slim Swiss Hearts stencil.
