The NEW Happy Hex Monogram Kit!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here today and it’s time to introduce our first kit of the new year! I had so much fun putting together all of the elements in this kit and it checks off lots of boxes on my own personal list of favorites! 1) It’s RAINBOW! 2) It’s a clean and graphic style. 3) It’s versatile with elements that can be easily combined to create lots of different looks. 4) It can be quickly personalized to create a beautiful gift set like I’ll be sharing in my video below.
Just a note that we have 2 blog posts today featuring each of the new kits. To see the Kid’s Valentine Card Kit, CLICK HERE.
So what’s unique about our kits? First, there’s no subscription necessary. Also, in keeping with our mission to Share Joy, we encourage you to send the cards you create by including six envelopes in a variety of colors along with six custom envelope seals to match the theme of the kit. Each kit comes packaged in a zippered pouch with a coordinating vinyl sticker making it easy to keep the supplies together.
Here’s everything included the Happy Hex Monogram Kit – which retails for $48:
- Happy Hex Mini Slim Background stamp
- Happy Hex die collection
- Clearly Crafty Happy Hex Add-ons stamp set
- Clearly Crafty Typewriter Alpha stamp set
- Happy Hex Mini Slim stencil
- 6 Sugar Cube Top Fold Mini Slim Card Bases
- 6 Custom Envelope Seals
- 6 Colored Mini Slim Envelopes
- 1 Mini Slim Clear Card Box
- Packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom kit label
You will also be able to purchase additional top fold mini slim card bases, envelope seals, and mini slim card boxes separately!
In the video below, I’ll be sharing how I put together a rainbow-colored set of notecards that I’ll be giving to my mom. It’s all packaged up inside the Mini Slim Clear Card box and ready to gift.
You’ll notice that I left the sentiment space empty on the card front. Instead I included a small glassine bag with stamped sentiments so that she can choose what best fits her need. The sentiment pieces already have foam tape on the back so she can just feel off the backing paper and adhere it to the card.
I considered monogramming the notecards with her initial, but instead decided to monogram the envelope seals using the Typewriter Alphabet. The seals are made from vinyl material so you’ll want to use StazOn ink to stamp on them. I love how bright and cheerful this turned out and I can see myself making these as birthday gifts for both of my sisters too. And I can offer to refill the box when they’ve sent all the cards so it’s the gift that keeps on giving!
Now, let’s take a closer look at the different elements of the kit as well as more inspiration from the TE Creative Team. Note: Some of these items are only available as part of the Happy Hex Monogram Kit.
Add this geometric hexagon pattern to your Mini Slim cards with the Happy Hex Mini Slim Background stamp. There is a larger hexagon frame that is the perfect spot to add a monogram or small sentiment. This background is sized to fill up a Mini Slim card base (3.5″ x 6″).
Happy Hex Mini Slim stencil coordinates with the Happy Hex Mini Slim Background stamp to add mini hexagons into the corresponding openings in the stamped pattern. Use the etched guideline to line up the stencil perfectly on your stamped image.
Kavya created this colorful set of Mini Slim cards and Post-it Note holder using the Happy Hex Mini Slim Background stamp and coordinating Happy Hex Mini Slim stencil from the Happy Hex Monogram Kit. I love the different variations that she created: stenciling the mini hexagons into the stamped background pattern, using just the stamp with multiple ink colors and masking off a portion of the design, and using the stencil on its own to create a unique background pattern.
Emily Mydlowski created this trio of coordinating Mini Slim thank you cards by stamping the Happy Hex Mini Slim Background in a darker tone of ink and then stenciling the mini hexagons using a lighter, coordinating tone of ink. This card design could be repeated in a rainbow of colors! Emily also used the dies and one of the clear stamp sets from the Happy Hex Monogram Kit that you will learn more about below.
The Happy Hex die collection includes 2 dies to cut out additional hexagons for your project. The larger hexagon is sized perfectly for a monogram or small sentiment and fits within the larger hexagon opening on the background stamp while the smaller hexagon dies cut out 4 hexagons with one pass through your die cut machine.
Add patterns and flair to dress up your hexagon shapes with the Clearly Crafty Happy Hex Add-ons stamp set. The set includes striped hexagon patterns, mini hexagons, a hexagon frame, smaller icon images, and six different sentiments to use on your projects.
Jill Hawkins created this trio of Mini Slim cards by combining a bunch of colorful hexagons cut out with the Happy Hex die collection and the striped hexagons from the Happy Hex Add-ons stamp set stamped in Oreo ink. She stamped the patterns right onto the Sugar Cube Top Fold Mini Slim card bases included in the kit and stamped different sentiments on each one. Jill added her signature stitching details and a few Bits & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops to finish things off.
Wanda Guess gave the Happy Hex Monogram Kit a softer look by using watercolors to add color to the Happy Hex die cuts. She added the colorful hexagons, arranged in a pretty rainbow inspired gradient, over the Happy Hex Mini Slim Background that is stamped with an ink that moves with a few spritzes of water. All of the splatters and splotches of paint that Wanda added are perfect for the soft, watercolor look. The sentiment on the yellow hexagon is from the Happy Hex Add-ons stamp set.
Don’t be afraid to use the Mini Slim cards in a horizonal/landscape format like Natasha Valkovskaya did on this card! She added the striped hexagon patterns into the background and to step things up, she embossed a few of the patterns and the sentiment with gold embossing powder. This is another card design that would be great to create in a rainbow of colors!
Get those monograms and sentiments stamped in perfect serif capital letters with the Clearly Crafty Typewriter Alpha stamp set. Sized to coordinate with our Happy Hex Monogram Kit, the set includes letters A-Z, as well as a variety of punctuation marks and symbols.
Melody Rupple used the ‘M’ in the Typewriter Alpha stamp set to personalize this fun set of Mini Slim cards. She either embossed the monogram in white or stamped it in black depending on the color of cardstock she used to coordinate with her card. Melody also created so many great looks using the elements in the Happy Hex Monogram Kit and I love her different color variations going from monochromatic, to a cool color combination, to a colorful rainbow!
Heather Nichols embossed the ‘H’ from the Typewriter Alpha stamp set on Toffee cardstock to add monograms to this colorful, matching set of Mini Slim cards. She stamped the background in the matching ink color to each cardstock background (Granny Smith, Cookie Monster, and Cherry Pop) to create a tone on tone look and then added the stenciled mini hexagons with the Happy Hex stencil using Sugar Cube ink. I love how each color has a different look, but they all work together to create a beautiful set!
The Happy Hex Monogram Kit includes 1 Clear Mini Slim Card Box to package up a set of cards to give as a gift. Each Clear Mini Slim Card Box holds approximately 6-12 Mini Slim cards and envelopes, depending on the embellishments you use. They are also great for storing your finished card and craft projects. The boxes ship flat and fold together easily on pre-scored lines, with no need for adhesive. You can purchase additional Clear Mini Slim Card Boxes in packages of 5.
The Happy Hex Monogram Kit includes 6 Mini Slim envelopes, 6 custom envelope seals, a 6 Sugar Cube Top Fold Mini Slim Card Bases.
The six Mini Slim envelopes match the following cardstock colors: Cherry Pop, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Granny Smith, Cookie Monster, and Jelly Donut.
We are excited to introduce Mini Slim card bases with a top fold feature! The Sugar Cube Top Fold Mini Slim Card Bases measure 3.5″ x 6″. You can also purchase additional card bases in packages of 10.
The cute envelope seals are made from durable, weatherproof material and are sure to bring a smile to the recipients of your cards. You can leave these seals as is, or use Jet Black Stazon ink to stamp a monogram or other element in the center of the seal. Don’t forget that you can purchase additional envelope seals in the TE webstore right now!
Along with Happy Hex Monogram Kit, we have a few other new items available in the TE webstore debuting today to coordinate:

The band is designed to be assembled and wrapped around a set of Mini Slim (3.5″ x 6″) sized cards to create a perfectly personalized gift (I shared how to do this in the video above). The twist-on pen features a clear barrel filled with layers of colorful crystals, 1.0 mm medium tip, and is filled with classic black ink.
