How sweet is this card created by Mindy Eggen using the Cottontail Wishes Stamp & Die Combo set? Watch the video to see how Mindy created this Mini Slim card from start to finish:
In the video, Mindy stamps and colors the bunny image from the Cottontail Wishes set with Copic markers to use on on a Mini Slim card. She stamps the background for the card using the Rough Draft Background stamp in Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. Mindy shows how she added a bit of shimmer to the background with the Pearl TE Pigment Powder. She shares a tip for trimming foam squares to use when popping up delicate areas of a die cut and adds a sentiment to her card from the Cottontail Wishes stamp set embossed in white on a strip of Oreo cardstock.
Here’s a closer look at the Cottontail Wishes set that Mindy used on her project:
The Cottontail Wishes Stamp & Die Combo set features the cutest bunny in a soft and sweet style. The bunny will be perfect not only for Easter, but for baby cards, birthdays, and more. The set also includes sentiments in a pretty script font that cover a number of occasions.

The Copic marker coloring on Mindy’s card is beautiful and she shares tips for how she approaches shading on the bunny in the video. The colors she used just speak springtime and this card is perfect for sending a hello to a friend or welcoming a new baby!
I really love how the bunny image is sized to work on a Mini Slim size, but can easy be used for a traditional A2 card size as well.
You can see the shimmer that Mindy added to the background of her card in this photo. She mixed the Pearl TE Pigment Powder with a little bit of water and used a paint brush to spatter the pigment across the background. The fixative in our TE Pigment Powder is water activated and so there is no need to use a spray fixative to set it once you have added water to it! The shimmery splatters are a subtle, but lovely effect to add to a soft and sweet project like this.
Here’s more inspiration from the TE Creative Team and a closer look at a few more of the new products from our Easter release:
I am always excited to see how Arjita Sepaha Singh is going to color the images for her projects and this Easter card created with Cottontail Wishes Stamp & Die Combo set is amazing. Arjita did the no line coloring technique by stamping the image in a light ink color (Sea Salt ink is great for this technique) and then painting the image with watercolor paints. I love how she embossed the sentiment from the Simple Strips – Easter Blessings stamp in white and added color to the sentiment strip using a matching watercolor paint – where the sentiment is embossed, it resists the color.
The graceful floral and greenery sprays in the Unexpected Blessings stamp set (+ coordinating dies) can coordinate with the bunnies in the Cottontail Wishes set or be used on their own to create delicate designs perfect for many different occasions. The comforting sentiments in the set will add a heartfelt touch to your handmade cards.
If you like the farmhouse rustic touch, you will love the new Wood Plank Background stamp. Add the rustic woodgrain texture to your backgrounds, borders, die cut shapes, and more. This is a background I know I’ll be reaching for again and again!
This Mini Slim card by Emily Mydlowski created with the Unexpected Blessings stamp set has a soft and rustic look to it. The comforting sentiment is stamped onto Stitched Circle Stacklets die cuts and Emily encircled it with one of the flower sprays in the set. Her background is cut out with the Mini Slim Diagonal Stripes Cutting Plate and she embossed the insets with the Wood Plank Background in white on Toffee cardstock.
Noriko Fairchild took one of the sprays in the Unexpected Blessings stamp set and created a wreath to frame the sentiment on her project by stamping it multiple times and adding color with Copic markers. She stamped the Wood Plank Background with Sea Salt ink on Sugar Cube cardstock for a subtle background texture on her card that lets the main images and sentiment shine!
Create a pretty wreath with the Spring Wreath Layered Stencil set. The set includes two stencils: one for stenciling the wreath greenery and one for adding the floral elements. Cut out the stenciled wreath and add extra elements using the Spring Wreath die collection.
This playful card by Annette Allen features the cute bunny from the Springtime Smiles stamp set encircled with a floral wreath created with the Spring Wreath Layered Stencil set and cut out with the coordinating die. I love the polka dot details that Annette added with a white gel pen to the flowers on the wreath. The textured background is stamped with the Wood Plank Background stamp using Sugar Cube ink on Blue Raspberry cardstock.
The Be Joyful stamp set features four larger Easter and spring themed sentiments in a hand-lettered style along with three smaller sentiments that you can pair with the larger ones or use on their own. The larger sentiments are sized to center within the wreath from the Spring Wreath Layered Stencil set.
The new Pennant Parade – Easter clear stamp set coordinates with the previously release Pennant Parade Cling & Clear Combo stamp set. There are 5 new Easter-themed pennants along with seven sentiments that the Easter Bunny would definitely approve of!
I (Heather Nichols) created this set of Mini Slim cards that feature the new pennants from the Pennant Parade – Easter stamp set. I cut out the patterned pennants with the Pennant Parade dies and attached them to burlap twine to ‘hang’ across the card front. The ‘Happy Easter’ sentiment from the Be Joyful stamp set is embossed in white over a background stamped with the Playful Plaid Background stamp.
That wraps up the inspiration I have to share today! I hope you enjoyed the projects from the TE Creative Team and that they have sparked ideas for your Easter and springtime projects. Make sure to stop back tomorrow for one more day of crafty inspiration using the products from our Easter release. I’ll have a video to share from Emily Leiphart along with more inspiration from the TE Creative Team!
