Join the TE 13th Birthday Challenges – Challenge #4: Shake it Up!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Heather here for another TE 13th Birthday Challenge. We paired up the designers on the TE Creative Team and had them come up with creative challenges for each other and all of you. We have four challenges happening, the fourth of which starts today from Melody Rupple & Jill Hawkins! Create along with the challenges for a chance to win a TE Guest Designer Spot (for a future release) or a $25 gift certificate (13 will be drawn from all challenge entries) to the TE webstore.
Once you create your project for the challenges using TE stamps, dies, and stencils (you can create as many projects as you want!), upload them to the appropriate photo albums on the Fans of Taylored Expressions Facebook Page. The deadline to upload all of your projects is 11:59PM Central Time on Friday, September 17th. Winners will be announced here on the blog on Monday, September 20th.
Also, the cards that were created by the TE Creative Team for the challenges will be auctioned off! Yes, that’s right, the cards will be sent to the highest bidders and all of the proceeds will benefit Heifer International. You can get all of the details and bid on your favorite card over at the Fans of Taylored Expressions Facebook Page. You’ll also notice that all of the cards created by the TE Creative Team give you a sneak peek for new products that will be coming your way next week!
Show off your shaker skills by creating a shaker card along with Melody & Jill! If you need help creating a shaker card, here are links to a few videos from the TE YouTube channel that you might find helpful:

Here is a look at the projects that Melody and Jill created for the Shake it Up challenge:
Melody used the Celebrate Big Balloon Shaker dies to add the cute balloon shaker to this adorable birthday scene. You can die cut double-sided foam sheets to create your shaker elements and get the exact size and shape that you need. The shaker is filled with tiny gems that you are going to learn more about tomorrow (I know you have seen these on several challenge projects both as shaker filler and as embellishments!)
Jill cut out openings into a piece of cardstock using a die to create this festive shaker cake card! Take a look at the dies in your collection and you might be inspired to use some of your dies in this way! Jill filled each layer of the cake with different colors of tiny gems (there they are again!) and then added stamped elements to complete the image. Who wouldn’t love to receive this interactive rainbow cake shaker card for their birthday?
Thanks so much for stopping by today! We hope you enjoyed all of the challenges from the TE Creative Team and the projects that they created for them. Don’t forget to upload your projects to all of the challenges for your chance to win. Tomorrow on the TE blog will be sneak peeks for our 13th Birthday product release! You have gotten a pretty good look at some the goodness that is coming your way the past few days from the TE Creative Team challenge projects. What are you excited to learn more about? Set your alarms for Monday, September 13th at 9AM Central Time – that’s tomorrow! See you then!
